THE COMPLETE POKEMON ROM HACK TIER LIST!

Hey guys, my name is ThePokeKid and welcome back to yet another video!!
Today we're revisiting an old video where I made a Pokemon Rom Hack Tier List with some... questionable rankings. So I've redone it, nearly two years later to the day, and a LOT more Pokemon Nuzlocking experience!

I'm surprised at Unbound's placing, I think it's a top 5 or even top 3 rom hack, it plays flawlessly with every QoL change you'd ever want but it does it while taking place in a new region with custom palettes everywhere and with a new story, one that isn't cringey btw. There is so much love and effort put into this game that it's a crime not being in S tier. Also, Clover is S, personally, because it's a fakemon hack that I actually enjoyed, which is very rare. It oddly feels like a real pokémon game to me, besides all the offensive things obviously. The story was also suprisingly good and not SUPER edgy, was expecting more edge tbh Great video though, I agreed with most other placings (except Emerald Kaizo, I'm not a masochist, D tier)

To be fair I was playing through Unbound for the first time when I made this video - it definitely is an S tier hack Clover while being a technically great game has its obvious flaws (every second sentence of dialogue being a 4chan ref)

34:53 Pokemon Grape might be the best gen 1 hack (it's very well made). Played it? Prism and Crystal Maeson are good gen 2 hacks, and there's also a new version of Pokemon Coral

@@PokeBronYT From the creator 80C: "It's Pokemon Grape, it's a hack of Pokemon Red (USA) and unlike most of Pokemon hacks this is a total overhaul of the original game. It features over 240 Pokemon from all generation and features a lot of new features not present in the original Pokemon Red. This hack features a lot of brand new implementations, such as Phisical\Special split from Gen3\4 games (it's actually the first Gen1 hack to have it implemented), custom Mini Owerworld 1 for each pokemon, EXP Bar (thanks to Danny-E 33 for the original asm code that I later fixed\improved), more fly-able ambients (like in Pokemon Gold), new types (now there are 25 types), new moves (for a total of 250 moves, among which there are new moves that use custom animations & effects as well), and a lot of new features." You'll have to get the rom directly to play it since the patch isn't even on romhacking.net and pokecommunity anymore (dunno why). Also, definitely try Crystal Maeson. It's been made to be played as a nuzlocke (the normal version "punishes" you in some ways, so play the version with hardcore rules), and it comes with documentation

While I don’t play as many Rom hacks, I feel fusion origins was the most painful to playthrough note: AS A NUZLOCKE. I should have never started my play through as a nuzlocke but even without that, the difficulty is so unbalanced and out of nowhere. Honestly if you’re going through the game regularly, it seems like a bunch of fun, but I feel doing it as a nuzlocke blind is pretty bad
