There is a reason why certain specials have been grouped together in these sets. And that is because the rights to the pre-1974 Rankin/Bass catalog are owned by Universal, while the post-1973 catalog belongs to Warner Bros.

Here’s a tip in case a dvd or Blu-ray flipper case won’t hold your discs in place. Take the discs out on both sides, then carefully pull the little triangle buttons towards you without breaking them. Then put the discs back in, and they’ll be nice and secure from then on out

The Blu Ray is all Chronological order though, that's so cool. The DVD was all different orders.

The DVD felt like a rushed job. It contained discs of stuff that had been restored but not shown because they used old discs. Hell the Rudolph and Frosty Christmas in July promotes an old Cartoon Network DVD from 2004 that you can't get anymore. The Blu-ray is much much better

Warner Bros. and Universal have rarely worked together they've worked on Stroker Ace, Twister, Central Intelligence, and the upcoming Twister sequel, Twisters.
