I know this video is a bit long but I get asked a lot about where the Jetta wagon came from and whats been done to it. So here is the full story ( slightly summarized ) for you guys! From day one going to just see the car all the way till now. The car has come a long long way for sure.

It's prudent to note how rare this car really is. The Jetta is basically a Golf sedan, and was sold in low numbers compared to the Golf. The wagon is even more rare, and a VR6 Jetta wagon is basically a unicorn. ❤

What suspension did you go with? I bought my TDi wagon with a coilover kit already on it, handles amazing but the rear springs are sitting on top of each other.

This is a Bora in Europe, not a Jetta. Interesting that VW decided to not use the original name but the name of a model which we already have in Europe and it's not this one.

I know I also owned a Bora variant while I lived in Germany. But Bora isn’t the original name. The original name from the very beginning has always been Jetta. But since sales weren’t that good with the sedan ( limousine ) in Europe they changed the name to vento with the mk3 and then bora with the mk4. Neither name helped increase sales so they went back to Jetta with the mk5 and haven’t changed it again.

Because I can 🤷🏼‍♀️ and because I knew I was moving back to America soon so I couldn’t take my bora wagon back so I got us jetta wagon. Also having a us car in Germany where everything is euro is cool.

I know in the Staates you wouldn't pull a small Trailer without a truck. In Europe or in germany we do and it works fine. My a4 2.7 diesel is alowed to pull 2,5 tons. And it tock about 8 liters of diesel on 100 kilometer on our tour. Even my Trunk was fully loaded and the Wagon on the Trailer was loaded too.
