I extremly agree with you!! I haven't thought this, very interesting. This approach should be in every pedagogy class for teachers of any subject!

@@CouchPolyglot I thought about whether comprehensible and compelling input works for anything else. I believe the closest skill or area would be learning to cook and play an instrument.

Great video lovely Laura 👌. I completely agree with you that comprehensible input can be used to study anything that is important to us. We’ve all attempted to learn something that was just too difficult to understand, almost as if it’s a different language (even though it’s written in a language that is familiar to us). And I also agree with you that if we don’t enjoy the process (for whatever reason), then we will make it even more difficult. So we must find a way to understand and enjoy the process 💝. Another idea I recently came across is the idea of comprehensible output. And that is very useful for learning practical subjects like cooking, teaching, acting, etc. That’s because if don’t learn to articulate and express what we’ve learned, there’s not much benefit in learning it. Anyway, thanks for another brilliant and informative video 🙏🎁🌟💝👏

That is a good point, I have also read that a great way to really learn something is to either write about it or to teach it to someone else :)

@@CouchPolyglot Yeah, I believe that communication skills will help you, as long as you have enough experience with what you've learned.

I totally agree, especially with the piano part. The channel pianoAHA is about that general idea.

I have no empathy for English language (sorry English language speakers!). For this reason, the learning process was a total nightmare for me all my life. I am conscious about its importance as an international language. I need to submit a paper in a international journal for getting the D. Sc. degree in materials science and lack of empathy must be ignored this time...

🙈 ….. you have to find a way of enjoying the process. Learning is both a science and an Art. That’s especially true when you’re learning a language. So unless you find a way of enjoying the process, it will feel dull and awkward. Best wishes 👍

That´s the question! English knowledge is almost a duty. At least I can read and make myself understood.

The best way is to find a path somehow to make it "addictive", something you like so much that it makes you automatically want to learn it :)
