Ahh, the good ol' days where retail software boxes were sized proportionately to their price even though the contents were literally the same type contents of a CD and small manual more often than not.

My original Pentium MMX Windows 95 PC was dying, but because I want to continue to use MS Word and MS Publisher with a printer I moved those programs to a new PC. However I chose to keep the old PC as a video game console instead.

Nothing changed, people still don't want to pay excess money to scammers like Geek Squad to fix their computers. A lot of people still go into their computer and try to fix it if it's a desktop. Otherwise computers are virtually affordable enough to forget about it and buy a new one.

During this era, older computer users made fun of these computers because the use of GUIs meant you didn't need to know any DOS commands or BASIC. Every generation of computing thinks the same about the previous generation of users.

But the difference between my generation using old comps, being happy to have thousands of NES games loaded on our PC as rom files playing on emulator, using the internet the first time in like late 90s, that was a time we LEARNED stuff on the internet. So many people would get on the internet to look up FAQS on sites like gamefaqs to learn stuff. Computers were a way to expand our minds back then. To, computers and phones for gen z generation is to be insecure and spend 24 hours a day on tik tok making stupid videos like lip singing and making ugly faces, DESPERATE for likes and attention. Gen z kids judge each other based on Follower count, “omg I have 200 followers but ewww that guy asked me out but only has 199 followers, LOSER, eww”. I’ve seen gen z kids in middle or high school behave this way. They don’t even know how computers work either, they just know how to surf the web. Wikipedia or other online sources to get knowledge is something todays micro Braunes copycat drone hive mind zombie gen z kids have never gone online to expand their mind, they go online to become even BIGGER conformist idi0ts. Gen z have no autonomy or self determination, just a bunch of weak insecure buffoonish apes, in class they disrespect and curse at their teacher and even ask them to fight. This generation is fking INSANE and PSYCHOTIC

Ur only like 16 years old dude. Your gen z. You dont know about computers. You just know EVERYONE else has phones and they’re all DESPERATE to make social media accounts and show their faces and make stupid Tik tok videos praying for likes and attention and say “omg eww” to anyone without social media, and so the ONLY reason you have a phone or laptop is to be able to join the hive mind of your insecure micro brained copycat drone zombie generation. You basically have a “computer” whether phone or laptop because you wanted to copy everyone else and fit in with the hive mind of gen z m0rons
