I love all their albums but this is as good as everything on Sleep No More. Top song.

This band is the best hidden treasure I discovered in the last 5 years. The Chameleons are a close second. All hail post-punk!!!!

I forgot how powerful this song is. I would gladly forfeit all my remaining days left on this Earth f I could just go back in time to that cold day in September 1983 when a new friend, gave me the greatest gift I had received to that point and has not been surpassed thus far-----a mix tape of the Comsat Angels. This song was not on the tape as it was comprised of tracks from Waiting for A Miracle, Sleep No More and a UK vinyl sampler that started it all: "And now hailing from the Northeast of England, here are the one and only Comsat Angels." Has anyone else had that sinking feeling that the magic, wonder and transcendent events have come and gone? Or is it just me? Knowing the best has already been experienced just hit me. This is not good.

just the best band ever..knew dynamics, knew space between notes, beautiful lyrics, humble, brilliant influenced thousands of bands and never got the credit(just ask U2)..the Greatest Band>> The Comsat Angels!

In 1984 my then boyfriend gave me a home made copy of land and I loved it for years without knowing anything about who they were. I finally, thanks to google, discovered who they were and got a vinyl copy of Land from Germany about 8 years which had been the album I wore out on cassette. I was so happy!!

A great track that should have been on the LP. Comsats never had luck with their labels ! Haunting tune.

The light goes on the light goes off again in the window you wonder what it meant This heat makes you sweat but it’s not over yet and the temperature just keeps on rising So you play it safe but at who’s expense could it be tomorrow can you keep it up till then one more cigarette every noise is a threat and there’s still nothing on the horizon Dust in the wind clutching at straw there will again doesn’t live then it comes fact when she’s at your door Where will you be then? Something’s got to… something’s got to give something’s got to… something’s got to give got to give got to give The light goes on The light goes off again The light goes on The light goes off again
