Lianfang is pure evil. She wants to harm Danyang/her unborn child just to destroy Shiyi. She has no heart/I can't wait until she finally pays for her actions. It's a good thing that Lingyi/Shiyi didn't allow her anywhere near Fengqing because she would harmed him in order to keep Lingyi on a string...and this woman is the GM's favorite. It says a lot about the GM's character. Shiyi is SUPERGIRL...lol She came out of nowhere to protect Danyang at the expense of her own safety. Here's another major difference between Shiyi/Lianfang. Shiyi was willing to risk her safety in order to save Danyang/her child. Lianfang put them directly in harms way because of her evil heart. Danyang has never given Shiyi the respect because of her status. I'm looking forward to their budding relationship. Lianfang still doesn't understand that her scheming only benefits Shiyi. Now Shiyi will have another ally in Danyang because of Lianfang's actions. Lingkuan is finally growing up. Hopefully he stops listening to his clueless mother so he can become the man that Lingyi needs him to be. His mother brings nothing but destruction with her misguided/inept opinions.

I am so glad that Lingyi saw through Lianfang from the beginning and wanted nothing to do with her. There isn't a kind bone in Lianfang's entire body. Even the GM is concerned about keeping Fengqing's paternity secret to protect Danyang. Lianfang only sees a chance to hurt as many people as possible. How heartless does someone have to be to even think of and then implement a plan like this. She wanted to harm Shiyi and didn't care who else would get hurt in that plan and maliciously wanted to hurt not only Danyang but also her unborn baby? Lingyi was right that she was too selfish to raise a child. His description of her was still too kind a description. I wish the GM had learned of this. However, I think she would still have found a way to twist it and blame it on Shiyi. The one good thing about this is that Danyang finally realizes that Shiyi is more than her birth status.

@@mckalla2109 I agree. Lingyi wasn't fooled by Lianfang. The problem with the GM and Lianfang...they thought that Lingyi was driven by status. They assumed he felt the same way that they did...but in the end they were wrong. Lianfang didn't love Lingyi... she was in love with the little boy that helped her when she was a little girl. She never once tried to get to know him as a man. She was only concerned about who he was as a little boy. He never trusted Lianfang...it didn't matter how many schemes she planned it was never going to work...the same with the GM...she was trying hard to force Lingyi to fall in love with that snake in the grass...but it never worked. They could never understand why Lingyi didn't fall for the charmless wit. She was heartless and cruel...and he knew it. You're right the GM would've found a way to blame Shiyi for Danyang accident. She did the same thing when Zhun was being poisoned by Lianfang. She found a way to blame Shiyi...and to see her as a threat. Lianfang had her snowed...with her innocent act. Lingyi/Shiyi knew that the GM would never believe that Lianfang was evil.. they had to go through great lengths to expose her. I'm glad that Danyang finally saw what an amazing person Shiyi truly was....and that she was more than just her birth status. My favorite Danyang moment is when she slapped the hell out of Lianfang...lol Danyang knew the GM wouldn't believe her regarding Lianfang...that's why she didn't tell her what happened. The GM's been protecting her since she entered the family...even when she poisoned Zhun.. the GM still protected her. The GM nearly destroyed her own family with her continued support of Lianfang.

@@shontelagrone8713 Yes that scene where Danyang slaps Lianfang was awesome! I hadn't liked Danyang before then but I did after that. Lianfang and the GM created a version of Lingyi in their brains that didn't fit reality. It was no wonder they were always surprised when he behaved differently than they thought he would. They created a hypothetical Lingyi, to reference an British historical TV drama (one they saw but one that never was). Lianfang was infatuated with the hypothetical individual she had created. It is only when she finally realizes that the real Lingyi does not and has never loved her does she let go.

@@mckalla2109 Same...I didn't like Danyang until she slapped the taste out of Lianfang's mouth...lol She grew on me because she continued to verbally attack Lianfang afterwards...she threw Lingyi's love for Shiyi in her face and I loved every moment of it. You're right the GM and Lianfang created a version of Lingyi in their minds that never existed....so they could never understand why he continued to reject her. In their minds Lianfang was perfect for him but in reality she was a complete and utter nutjob and he wanted nothing to do with her. She was perfect on paper but that's about it... in reality she was a delusional, obsessive and dangerous predator. She harmed an innocent child in order to get what she wanted...she had Shiyi kidnapped to push her out of the family. She was heartless and cruel. I blame her the GM, her mother, maid and nanny for filling her head with a bunch of BS...and convincing her that Lingyi loved her. They pushed her deeper down the rabbit hole and in the end it destroyed her. Yes, until she finally woke up to the reality that Lingyi never loved her...was she able to let go. The biggest blow to her ego was the realization that Lingyi never had feelings for her. She wasted her entire life going after a man that never wanted her in the first place. The GM created a dangerous monster when she forced Lingyi to marry that nutjob.

@@shontelagrone8713 This is a perfect example of how positive feedback can cause great harm. Now I should probably specify that I'm referring to the type of positive feedback discussed in science and biology specifically. It a term that many biology students struggle with because it doesn't sound like what it is. This type of positive feedback causes a situation to continue rapidly in a specific direction and it often results in an out of control situation that can be deadly to the human body (ex. heat stroke, thrombus or embolism, childbirth). Typically to stop a positive feedback wave it requires outside assistance (ex. anticoagulants or cool environment) or a dramatic change (ex. baby comes out). Negative feedback (in biology) on the other hand keeps the body regulated and in a range that allows for health and life. While there were people who tried to provide her with the right kind of feedback, (Shiyi, Danyang, Lingyi), it wasn't enough. Lianfang received only positive feedback from GM, her mother, her maids, her nanny and that is the only thing she responded to. She went out of control. Her dramatic change that stopped everything was losing those people's support and the cold, hard truth from Lingyi as she made her last ditch attempt to get him.

Lianfang doesn't stop anything. It’s interesting what her patroness would say if she found out that she told Danyang about what they tried so hard to hide. Qiao is not even deterred by the fact that in this case, she will bring trouble not only to Shiyi, but to the entire Xu family. And if the daughter tells her father who caused her frustration, then Lianfang herself will not seem enough. Is she even able to see beyond her own nose? Her selfishness and thirst to annoy Shiyi completely freeze her mind. It's funny, she sought to raise Fengqing, but as soon as she realized that this was not going to shine for her, she had an epiphany and realized that Lingyi was not the father of the child. I must say that she perfectly uses Danyang's impulsiveness. Shiyi proves once again that she is ready to sacrifice herself for the sake of others. It's unfortunate that Shiyi got hurt, but she's not only saving Danyang and her baby. She pulled the Xu family back from the brink once again. It's cruel, but I'm glad Danyang was sobered up by the fright. Maybe after that, she would listen less to Lianfang's venomous speeches, and start thinking before acting. Lingkuan decided to make the first male act in his life. He honestly tells everything to his father-in-law. He doesn't yet know what catastrophe Shiyi saved them from. Danyang's father is an honest and noble person, he puts his daughter's happiness first. The Ou family's plan failed.

Lianfang is an idiot. She still hasn't learned that her constant scheming is only helping Shiyi. Now Shiyi will have another ally in the family because of Lianfang's actions...lol She needs to give up scheming because she's not very good at it. Her actions never benefit her at all. It only benefits the one person she's trying to destroy. You would think that she would figure it out. Lianfang has proven over/over again that she doesn't care about the Xu family. Her actions have brought harm to the family over/over again and she still scheming/plotting Shiyi's destruction. She doesn't have foresight/she doesn't see how harming Danyang will not only expose the Xu family to harm but her maiden family as well. Her shortsightedness is the reason she continues to lose whenever she tries to harm Shiyi. Danyang's impulsiveness nearly cost a disaster. Her maid was trying really hard to calm her down but she couldn't see passed her own anger. She nearly harmed herself/unborn child because she's too impulsive. My girl Shiyi turned into Supergirl with that rescue...lol Danyang was very lucky that Shiyi came out of nowhere to save her. Her actions just highlight once again the differences between her/Lianfang. She risked bodily harm in order to protect Danyang even though Danyang has never given her an ounce of respect. My girl keeps saving the Xu family from utter destruction. Lingkuan finally grows up. I was so proud of him. Now he just needs to stop listening to his mother/everything will be fine. She's not fit to give advice to anyone especially her sons.

@@shontelagrone8713 Lianfang is truly an idiot. She is unable to see the consequences of her actions beyond the petty goal she has set. She point-blank does not want to see the big picture, and, moreover, what can happen if her plan fails. Whether Danyang had suffered or not, the one who told the story of the child would definitely have surfaced. And if the GM would turn a blind eye to this (as usual), the Xu brothers and Danyang's father definitely would not. You are right, all of Lianfang's plans play into Shiyi's hands. She hadn't thought about this development at all. Now, Danyang will take Shiyi's side. She saved her and the baby. Danyang was well brought up, she knows how to distinguish between good and evil, to be fair (she proved this in the story with the fabric). Lianfang made an enemy in Danyang and her family. When she conceived her plan, such an option did not cross her mind at all. Yes, Lingkuan has started to mature. Better later than never. He needs to start taking an interest in family affairs and help his older brother. It is very unfair that everything is thrown on the shoulders of one person. True, Lingyi now had good support in the person of his wife. Shiyi does his best, ignoring the intrigues and neglect of some, and not remembering past grievances. She just turned the page and got on with her life.

@@Irynash11 I would have liked to see how the GM would've responded after finding out that Lianfang was responsible for almost harming Danyang/her unborn grandchild. She's stuck up for Lianfang before but she would have a hard time trying to justify Lianfang's actions especially as it relates to the princess. I would've also liked to seen how Lingkuan handled the situation as well. She threatened his wife/unborn child's life to ruin Shiyi. Lingkuan has already experienced Shiyi's grace when she helped him mend fences with his brother. It's interesting how Shiyi went from having no allies in the Xu family to accumulating several in the span of months thanks to Lianfang's scheming. Honestly she really needed to give up scheming at this point because it never seems to work out for her. Her best efforts seems to have the opposite effect...lol Yes, I agree with you on Lingkuan character growth. It was better late than never...lol As long as he stays away from his mother's influence he will be alright. He needs to depend on Lingyi's guidance rather than listening to his mother. She's even a bigger idiot than Lianfang/that's saying a lot..lol
