Heads Up: This was filmed with the trial run Apple Watch heart rate monitor, before we realized it only captures heart rate every 5 seconds. New ones that are much more accurate are on the way for both of us, we used the apple watch as a trial run because Simone already had the device.

I'd like to see blood pressure instead/in addition, since that is likely to last longer and be more telling than a spike in heart rate. Comparing heart rates might be fun as well. You'll definitely have some chances if you watch any of the other films from the Conjuring universe.

Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga's chemistry is my favorite thing of the Conjuring films. Their portrayals of Ed and Lorraine Warren make them my horror movie pair. Also, the director and writers made this movie with little blood, no gore and no cussing to get a PG-13 rating, but got a an R rating purely on how scary it was. Pretty impressive.

Yeah the fact that Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga make Ed and Lorraine Warren so likable is one of the things I most hate about the Conjuring francise (though far from the only thing!). The real Warrens were grifters and Ed Warren was a gross creep with a 15 year old girl! And, tbh, it also bugs me that you consider no cussing and rated PG-13 to be reflection of morality when this entire franchise mainstreams a pair of grifters and their harmful ideas! This series basically depicts a modern version of the same ideas that led to the Salem Witch trials, and the only reason they didn't include people being executed as a just ending is that cultural norms are slightly less blood thirsty...for now. But hey at least no one got naked or said a bad word! Everyone knows that seeing a boob is way worse than glorifying a conman who had an affair with his teenage assistant.

Sleepwalking is a bizarre experience, hard to describe. You wake up standing in random areas. Then fall back to sleep while standing, and wake up again in a different location. I've had a few scary moments, waking up at the top of the stairs a few times, and standing at my open front door, which means I can unlock the door while sleeping.

I sleepwalked as a kid and once last month as a fully grown adult. I used to wake up in different parts of the house. The last month was at my girlfriend's place where apparently I stood looking out the kitchen window at the neighbours house for a not-short period of time. Very vaguely remember seeing a light on the neighbour's house and just couldn't pull myself away from it.

When my sister was little, she would sleep walk down the stairs to the living room where my parents would be watching tv and just sit down on the couch like she just couldn't sleep. Her eyes were even open during all this so they didn't think anything of it. Then, after a few minutes, she would let out a bloody horrific scream and wake up. She was apparently experiencing night terrors. After 3 times of this happening, my father added a small metal latch by the top of the door that would lead from the bedrooms downstairs. My sister couldn't reach it. Apparently, after one night trying the door, she couldn't open it and just went back to bed and never had a night terror ever again.

I used to sleepwalk on occasion. When I was a kid my mom woke up in the middle of the night and walked into my room. She found me quietly sitting on the foot end of my bed. A few other times I wondered the house yelling. I also would also sleepwalk/talk sometimes after drinking too much. I've sung in my sleep and had incoherent conversations. One time I fell asleep at a party. I woke up drenched with water and my cousin standing there laughing. Apparently, I stood up and almost peed on someone, then I walked over to the kiddie pool they had setup. I fell in, got out, and took my shirt off. Then I finally woke up. I don't think I've ever been so confused before in my life.

The trailer showed the scene where the mother is at the top of the stairs to the basement, in the dark lighting matches, and you KNOW there's nothing behind her, just a blank wall, and yet the ghost boy asks "Want to play hide and clap?" and his hands reach out to clap from behind her. Sleep walking story. I was once staying at a place with my dad, one of his friend's places that I have never been before. In the night, I slept walked out of the bedroom, down the hall, down the stairs, into a bathroom and locked myself in. I woke up seeing myself in the mirror, face lit by moonlight that came in through the window. I freaked out and tried to open the door but it was locked. I had to remember where I was, then walk back up the stairs down the hall, into the bedroom and go back to sleep. Also, an even scarier moment during that trip. Someone made me a sandwich with miracle whip instead of mayonnaise and didn't tell me and I thought I had a rancid sandwich and spit it out.

In reference to your conversation about haunting/horror movies that take place in less rural areas, there's a few I can think of. 1408 takes place in a hotel room, Evil Dead Rise takes place in an apartment building, Devil takes place in the elevator of a business complex, both versions of Candyman take place in urban communities. They're all pretty decent if you need some October watch material.

What i liked the most just from the first minute, was the accurate scenery, cars, clothes, haircuts and even colergrading that made it look like back then in the early 1980s. The scariness of this movie was not because of gory effects, but the transportation of the feeling "Fear". One Look in Simones eyes you can tell. So i understand the MPAA, that they thought, you can not cut out that uncomfortable disturbing feeling.

Hey guys, great reaction. When I saw u guys were watching this, 2 thoughts entered my head: "O, Simone isn't gonna be too happy." & 2nd, "I gotta see this reaction!"😊 Yay, Simone made it!😊 Although she was checking off a list of what she doesn't want anymore, thanks to this movie.😄 Hey George, u do know that hotels in heavily populated cities can be haunted too. I had a personal experience w/the paranormal while staying @ the Marriott hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. A friend & I had adjoining rooms during our stay. My friend got the suite because it was her timeshare & I got the standard room. The entire time we were there, which was a week, I left the connecting door between the rooms open. On my friend's side, it opened into the dining area, & on my side, it opened about 3ft from the right side foot of my bed. Anyway, on the 3rd night we were there my friend & I had gone to bed about 10pm, but neither of us had gone to sleep. We both were watching TV in our beds. About 1am, I finally felt tired enough to go to sleep. I turned off the TV & nestled down under the blankets, but sleep wasn't coming. I went from my left side to my back. When I did that, I caught something moving @ the connecting doorway. Focusing my attention there, I saw on the door the shadow of a person pacing. 1st thought that came to mind was that it was my friend. It wasn't strange to see a shadow on the door because we left the curtains to the living room area open so we got ambient light from outside. I watched for probably 30secs while the shadow paced back & forth, it paused & sat down in the chair where my friend normally sat. I got out of bed & walked over to the connecting doorway. Thinking it was my friend, I began to say "So, u can't sleep either.", but the words disappeared behind my lips. There was no one in the living room area. I thought "No way!" I tip-toed over to my friend's open bedroom door, & peered inside. By the light of her TV, I could see she was sound asleep. A horrible thought came to mind "Did someone get into our rooms?" I flicked on the light, checked the door locks & searched the kitchen, the closet & her bathroom, still no one.The only conclusion that I could come up w/was it was a spirit/shadow person. Since there was nothing else I could do, I went to bed. Next morning, I was in my friend's bedroom talking to her & watching her put on make-up, & she kept glancing @ me thru the mirror, as if she wanted to say something. Finally, she asked "Anything weird happen to u last night?" I answered "Well, now that u mention it..." I told her about my experience, & then she told me hers. She said that a clattering noise in the bathroom sink area woke her up. She went to see what it was. When she flicked on the light she found a hand towel & her hairbrush on the floor. She told me the hand towel she could explain how it could have been on the floor because she draped it over the front of the sink. But, she could not explain the hairbrush because it was set up on the counter no where near the edge. So, u see it can happen anywhere. Old houses in rural settings just add to the spooky factor. Besides, the actual "Conjuring" house is rather secluded. The Perron family w/the exception of the mother have returned to that house. She absolutely refuses to go back. Well, I guess that's all I gotta say. Great reaction!😊👍

I sleepwalked a couple of times when I was kid. My mother and siblings were living in a medium-sized flat and I remember a couple nights when I just kept waking up in different places. Lucky for me, I was never afraid of the dark but it felt really odd; I went to sleep on my bed and woke up sitting the couch on the living room, then spaced out and woke up staring at the covers in the kitchen, then again fell asleep and woke up by the side of my mother's bed, sitting in the floor. Finally woke up in the morning and I was back in my bed. The first night I thought I was just dreaming, but it happened to me a few more times after that. I stopped eventually and I never did it again. Never told anyone about it, dunno if they ever noticed but I do remember it vividly.

Yes George, I used to sleep walk quite a lot when I was younger and had an imaginary friend that scared my mom half to death. The last time I was sleepwalking I was 13 and went from the basement(my room) up to the door to outside and out the garage. Probably 60 feet or so away. Grabbed my bike and my dad was tinkering in the garage when this happened. He woke me up and said "where you going to?" I said "for a ride". He stopped me and sent me back to bed. I remember only the conversation part. Now I have very vivid dreams and talk in my sleep.

Same, Simone, on two counts. Count 1: my mother wouldn't allow my brothers and me to watch The Exorcist and movies like it because she felt that being in the audience was a signal to Satan that you lacked grace and, therefore, couldn't resist him. Count 2: my older brothers loved to sneak into my room at night when I was trying to sleep and pretend to be evil spirits, opening drawers and closet doors, dragging their fingers across the bottom of curtains to move them, and moving anything that creaked, whatever was necessary to convince me something had entered the room for hellish purposes; their hauntings usually ended when someone would reach up from the bottom of my bed and grab whatever part of my body was exposed to the open air and shriek like an unholy terror in ecstasy. It was usually my foot, because I would poke my foot out when it got too hot under the covers. Now, I can't sleep if my foot is exposed. I have to begin the night fully under my sheets and blankets; if my foot comes out during the night while I'm sleeping, fine, but I cannot fall asleep unless everything is covered.

28:45 If it helps Simone, Ed Warren was a known conman & serial adulterer. I was fascinated by the Warrens when I was a child - I read, "The Demonologist," & immediately wanted to know everything about Ed & Lorraine. Sadly, what I found was definitely an interesting couple of weirdos, but none of their claims were verified or true. Also, the film is impressively accurate with Lorraine Warren's 1970's former/wannabe Catholic nun modesty chic. The high frilly collars are practically ripped from the headlines...

Absolutely loved this reaction, that scream! Hope you’re going to watch the whole universe, there is a specific order to watch these films & there maybe ones that you’ve never heard of. So it’s The Conjuring 2013,Annabelle 2014,The Conjuring 2 2016,Annabelle Creation 2017,The Nun 2018,The Curse of La Llorona 2019,Annabelle comes home 2019,The Conjuring The Devil made me do it 2021. Again I hope you watch them all, just don’t listen to the haters who say “oh skip the next one it’s rubbish” because you might miss a gem, just take the films for what they are and enjoy the ride.
