I watched he Conquerers doing their thing from the kitchen door in Doolys Hotel Birr as a teen and always was memorised by the high level of musicianship and the way the band used to gel the tracks together without stopping to keep the dancefloor full. This format I use myself to this very day in my own wedding shows and I rate the lads the best in the country. The line up seen here is Frankie Colahan (vocals & guitar) Brendan Hogan (bass) Doc Horan (drums) Tony Maher (keys) Jason Fallon (percussion) Jason later drummed for Joe Dolan missing from the video lead singer Sean Slattery. Sean since went with Doc and formed The Connections. This track was originally recorded with Tommy Flynn on lead vocals Tommy now fronts the New York Show Band. Great memories and respect for the Conquerers who are still on the wedding circuit fronted by Derek Feery from Clara. Lastly not forgetting Willie Carty manager and the great Vinny Rodgers the road man and drive train behind the band.
