I cannot express how much I appreciate the TL;DR of the colony building. I have stopped watching a lot of Starsector playthroughs because there is a 6-12 episode story arc of "Kill pirates to kill time while I build up a dozen planets" I get that the Grind is part of the Game, but the Grind is more fun to do than to watch. Love that the war march has started, its about time they find out that the destination of the Luddic Path is Oblivion.

I appreciate you appreciating it! I actually had recorded the entire build-up process, but after editing it I realised it was just 2 identical episodes of very little happening. It broke up the flow of the series way too much.

"These ancient ruins really aren't that useful." Uhh, you could take the empty forge template it gives you, deconstruct your carrier with the forge blueprint on it, take that to a forge, and produce a FLEET of Capital Carriers. As one example.

For Planetary Invasions you should make sure to check the ( Auto-move At Turn End) option, makes taking over places real easy!

You can edit the max admin cap in the settings.json file! Its amazing how much you can change (without mods) just by playing around in there. Just be sure to save a backup somewhere in case you break something.

I love Diable's ships and wanzers, though they take a LOT of work to make truly shine (I'm using the mod that lets ships get XP to add more built-in hullmods.) Build-in WINGCOM, Hardened + Extended Shields, and Ballistic mods and their battlecarriers just rock. But man, do they invariably get their asses kicked by the rest of the sector.

What mod are you using that gets rid of the Deployment Point restriction? Makes the game a lot easier in my opinion.

I just edited it in the config file. I've got a tutorial on how to do it on the channel. The deployment limit for the AI was set to 2x mine for balance though. It shows up a lot more towards the end of the series

If doom city reduce ground defence by %95 then why wasting spot on them?

Because they also reduce hazard rating by a lot, which makes the colonies profitable. I can just remove it if they're going to be attacked.

@@teoadam-682 And ideally, you should almost never be dealing with a ground invasion. If you are "playing optimally" you are going to defeat the invasion in space. If they manage to land ground forces, you probably already screwed up, basically. :D

@@LargelyUnemployed You cen just get 1 and set him loose auto deployment works best with just 1. He cost some money but disrupts Panther cells in yours colonis. Really good when you start popping those Alfa boys like tick tacks

@@LargelyUnemployed Ideally, you just need one "hybrid" operative set to internal security. You can do shenanigans with saboteurs and such, but they overall don't have a huge effect. Mostly you want your one operative on internal security finding the luddic path and pirate bases and disrupting the luddic path cells on your worlds. Basically one operative = almost never having to deal with loss of stability from LP idiots.

I know this was a year ago but still your off camera actions turned my interest in your content from must watch to crap. The point of uploading a series is all of it. You magically found a paragon off camera that's something people want to see....

Hey man, I'm sorry to hear the time skip upset you this much. Making these series (especially the longer ones) is a balancing act between comprehensiveness and pacing. I didn't want to bog-down a Galactic Conquest series with 3 more episodes of identical colony upgrade grind, so I didn't include that footage. As for the Paragon, we already had one and they're not hard to salvage from bounty contracts (especially once you have one!) I'm not sure where the issue lies?

@LargelyUnemployed gaining a capital ship does matter. This far into the series you have even admitted yourself you forget what you have recorded and haven't recorded. Which has led the content to be more scattered and hard to follow. The story is in the battles and the bases go boom. The rewards for victory. Yes it is a galactic epic but even of it feels like a filler episode to you. It is very interesting in the grand scheme of things. In the series at this point you weren't to a level of making capital ships. You have 3. Which in its self is awesome, paragon are more relatively rate than you are making out. However I play vanilla so I can see how it's a non factor to you.
