One of the best paythrough videos I have ever watched. Congratulations. Excellent production, pace, attention to the detail. I really felt guided through the game... sadly it is now too late and tomorrow I am teaching early, otherwise I will be running to my den in the attic to start a play! Many thanks and congratulations again.

Your video productions are the BEST!!! (You're the Francis Ford Coppola of war game videos!!) I've learned so much by watching your videos and also being entertained by all of them!!! Also, could you tell me where or what brand are your gaming shelves... They look AWESOME in your Game Room!!! Thanks Stuka Joe!!!

Thanks, orkfan4. They are bookcases from IKEA. The model is Billy. I had about 5 of them brown, which we painted black and bought about 5 new black bookcases. Cheers!

Thank you for another excellent video! BTW, according to the errata the Diplomacy Table has a printed error, "roll 1d6" should be "roll 2d6". That's a big difference. and I wonder if you would have conducted Diplomacy with Cortez at 28:00.

Very enjoyable video Jose, thank you! One clarification, note that 1.46 allows up to two subordinate Conquistadors in an expedition to also have troops, in addition to up to 10 units commanded by the expedition leader (see also the example below 1.46 which clarifies this). Didn’t matter in this case because the expedition had exactly 10 units. I’m going to post a link to CSW, should get you a bunch more views. :)

Great demo Stuka! I have the older Avalon Hill game, a favorite of mine. Is there only one official Solitaire scenario with this game? Are the multi player scenarios adaptable to solo?

I'm here in the Philippines literally waiting for my copy to arrive. UPS said it would deliver the package by "end of day". So this is a particularly timely video for me. Thanks! Hope to see you at a gaming convention again when it's safe for us to do so. Maybe Consimworld? WBC?

Hi Stuka, nice and useful video, as always!!! About Indian Uprising, in the BGG forum this question was posted: If I draw an Indian Uprising Card and it deploys Indian units on a town or city with an expedition (as called for on the card), do those Indian units attack immediately? Or do they just sit? Jon Southard answer was: They would attack. By the way, how did you design your sequence of play cards? Ms Word? Adobe? Will you upload them?
@StukaJoe
@StukaJoe 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Edgar. I checked BGG when filming the video, but I overlooked the post as to Uprisings in the Solo game. It makes sense that the Indians would attack immediately, instead of just being hostile. As to the sequence of play cards, I made these in PowerPoint. I am re-touching them now so that I can post them soon. If you see anything incorrect in them, please let me know. Thanks.

Great video as always @StukaJoe I will keep an eye out for this one. On another note, have you ever made a video where you show how you create and print your Sequence of Play cards. They are fantastic.

Great video Joe. If the Conquistadors had invaded what is now Brazil, maybe they would now be speaking Spanish. Interesting solitaire version of the game. Glad you found some gold. Sir Francis Drake is waiting out at sea...Watching the game reminds me Avalon Hill produced a similar game, called appropriately Conquistador, in 1983. I was wondering if you are aware of this game? Hope you are keeping well during these trying times.

Brazil speaks portuguese because the Treaty of Tordesillas (1494). Nothing to do with the Conquistadores, who were not allowed to enter that zone (at least the Spaniards), it was an arrangement between Spain and Portugal.

@@edgargallego9240 Thanks Edgar. In fact I did know about the treaty. Think Brazil is so called after the Brazilwood tree. Nice to hear from you.

"Conquistador" is a Richard Berg's design and it was first published (as a 3 players, hexagon-grid wargame) by SPI in his "Strategy & Tactics" magazine (issue #58) in 1976. The Avalon Hill edition, first published in 1981, added a 4th player and a color mounted map. John Southard (the "The Conquistadores" designer) surely know it very well.
