I know that John Milward has been around forever, but I never learned much about the guy. I don't agree with much of what he says here, but that's the fun of this show. 😆 Thanks for another great video, Martin!

Rolling Stone would often turn their nose up at a lot of hard rock/metal bands anyway. They've often been like that.

Critics always hated Kiss. They were an easy band to hate. Gimmicks and spectacle. Everything the "serious music lover"detests. Kiss could have released the original Sgt. Pepper, it would still have been slagged.

I thought they stopped working with Bob Ezrin because Ace & Peter didn't like Bob telling them what to do.

Typical pomposity from RS. The guitar solos are very cool on that album, for starters. They may not be fast or complicated, but we all wanted to learn that dual harmony part from Detroit Rock City. Don’t think Ace actually wrote that one, although he plays it, but the one in Shout It Out loud is total Ace catchiness, very melodic and dynamic.

I am a huge KISS fan but of the seventies albums, this is my least favorite, not that it is bad, well...Great Expectations, is awful, just juvenile lyrics over ridiculous music that doesn't match

Destroyer is such an overrated album. The production lacks attitude and it has their worst song of their 70s albums; Great Expectation.

I will be contrary to martin and say beth is bloated, in that its an insincere phoning home to the girlfriend saying "sorry, im staying out partying with boys and not coming home". Doesnt mean i dont like it tho haha
