If this hadith carries any authenticity, I don't believe the questions about the Prophet's companions are true. It doesn't make any sense that out of all the companions present at the time, the Prophet asked the devil about the four caliphs and not the rest of them. If these questions were to be considered true, how the rest of the companions must have felt to be left out of the group. This is an impossible behaviour of a Prophet, especially having the knowledge of the nafs, he would never delve into something like this. The Prophet knew the character of his close companions and in particular imam Ali, so why would he ask the devil what he thought of them? Therefore, I have doubts about this part of this event and I must assume that it has been added.

This appellation given to the khilafa Al Rashideen is a sheer lie. First and foremost, imam Ali wasn't part of this group until imam Ibn hanbal around 800 CE, insisted on adding imam Ali to the group of Al Rashideen which had only three khalifs until then, Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman. Wake up guys, we've been taken for a ride for 1400 years and you still haven't woken up to the real world, for God's sake.
