Great work. Powerful interview. I’m subscribed and feeling very humbled having had the privilege to listen to that woman.

New to this channel, I've put off watching this particular episode because of its subject matter. Its so hard to not feel sick or anger with what happened those poor people. RIP to all their victims.

I read the book by Martin Dillon ,"The Shankhill Butchers"one time while on vacation in Ireland.I was sorry I read it as the level and type of violence described in the book disturbed me. I had a second hand book business in America the most of my working life and I had read dozens of True Crime books but none of them prepared me for the discription of the murders in Dillon's book. My heart went out to the murdered men and their families. What these men went through I really dont want to think about it. As for the butchers, hell isn't hot enough nor eternity long enough .

@@suelotus3717 May God bless you and your daughter and all your family.Your daughter is a very dignified lady and I listened intently to every word she had to say . Also the interviewer has to be complimented for the manner in which he conducted the interview and the sympathy he showed and the relevant questions he asked.

I read ‘The Shankhill Butchers’ years ago. They were psychos and would have killed regardless of the troubles. They were wicked and evil as were the IRA. Killing innocent people can never be justified. I’m English and Protestant. My children are Catholic. In London, this has never meant much and I still don’t understand the level of hatred in these killers. God bless all the families effected. This guy is a really good interviewer. I love the Irish regardless of religion.

As i recall the IRA didnt go around butchering people with knives. 99 percent of the time didnt actively target civillians so bad comparisan.

I get where you’re coming from , but for me it’s easy and lazy to just call the IRA evil ( and loyalist paramilitaries ) most of the men and women who went through the ranks of the various paramilitary groups were ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances .Most would have went through life without even so much as a parking ticket had they been living in a normal environment . Some however were as you say just evil regardless of political persuasion

Joe was the fifth victim he suffered a cruel death, but he was never taken into a house and tortured! Although the gang without 'Basher Bates ' and ' Lennie Murphy ' did stop at a house seeking a gun which was declined and a butcher knife was ordered to be the tool of execution. Joe was driven up the Forthriver Road, and his injuries were inflicted where he was found...
