If Chef is a Veteran and is in his 40s in 2007, then the only major War he could have fought in was the Gulf War in the 90s. Unless he had a brief tour in Afghanistan right before starting Total Drama. It’s important to remember that the characters are all Canadian, and Canada was not involved in either Vietnam or Iraq, so Chef could have never fought in either of those wars.

9:46 Sometimes, it’s weird to look back at Dramarama and see just how much of an unstated impact was left by it. The timeline suddenly started floating, Chris and Chef were massively dialed back (in Chris’s case, it was an improvement) and the writing style of the reboot feels more in line with Dramarama than anything. I would also like to point out that you inadvertently inspired me to start making a rewrite of the 2nd season of the reboot, and Owen has actually aged in my rewrite.

I actually prefer Chris when he’s chaotic and shitty, honestly. He’s a lot more entertaining and feels way more natural than “I hate the contestants” Chris of the reboot.

Honestly, same. I just watched the premiere episode on Saturday and Chris feels weirdly detached from the contestants. As much as his sadism was oversaturated in the later seasons, I still enjoyed him interacting with the contestants.

A few other things 1. Priya at the oldest must be 15 since she has been training since birth, though that was implied in the video 2. Chris was most definitely lying about his age in TDPI by saying he was 30 3. Further adding on to the age of the cast being 17 during TDWT, they are all still minors because they can't enter a casino 4. Adding on to TDA being in Fall, it has to have begun in August because Geoff namedrops August during his DJ guilt trip 5. TD, at least early on, may have had the campers taking on-set classes like a lot of child actors

Chef couldn’t have fought in Vietnam. If he was 45ish in 2007, he would’ve been born around 1962, making him only 11 by 1973 when US forces were withdrawn from South Vietnam.

Personally I think that the tdi reboot takes place in another universe because we see Chris in ridonculous race, seemingly not doing the reality host thing anymore. Also, the math works out that 15 after tdi set in 2007 is 2022. Additionally Chris is more like season 1 Chris and so the island never sinks. Edit: also, since in this possible universe where only tdi took place, it could be possible that since Owen and Noah had slight interaction, they wouldn’t partner for rr. This explains why Owen doesn’t remember doing that much after the show. We can also assume that Duncan and Courtney still has their falling out since a year after tdi and tda (because they take place days apart) considering they broke up around 10 months after tda, so they never would’ve “worked things out”

Heres a video idea . Do something on how the villains karma in post All Stars seasons are not as harsh as previous ones such as Alejandrio and Scott ending up in a robit suit. As after Mal's defeat which is basically death no villain got anything other than being eliminated and even than is much more of a slap on the wrist. This is especially the case with Juila who despite being a main villain in 2 seasons isnt nearly as punished as precious villains in the first she just got booted out in the final 4 . But the second one really shows as even though they tried to give Julia a tramatic haircut she still had a full head of hair unlike Heather who became bald. And Julia's conflicted with a raptor isnt the same as Scott conflict's with Fang's as the Raptor didnt hunt Juila down in both seasons and when he had her at his mercy instead of mauling her like what Fang didz just took off a few of Juila's hair.

Since Cody’s birthday is April 1st, and he’s 16 in 2007 when competing in Total Drama Island, and the Celebrity Man Hunt Special implies that an entire year has passed since the end of Action (how could the Drama Brothers boy band go from being a sensation to a has been in only a span of like, 3 months? It also implies that Izzy has starred in multiple movies.) Shouldn’t that place World Tour in 2009 when Cody turns 18?

Priya has to be 15 in the reboot. As Total Drama was already airing by the time she was born. As her parents made the decision before she was born that they’d train her to be on the show, having her bungie jump with her own umbilical cord. They probably made the decision while Season 1 was at a late point, meaning Priya was probably born in early 2008.

Actually, it’s never stated that she’s been training specifically for Total Drama since she was born. She mentions training for reality shows in general, and then her parent’s biggest dream being to put her on Total Drama. There is no direct evidence that states Priya was born in 2007.

Priya never states her parents trained her from birth specifically for Total Drama. They trained her for reality shows in general, and then Total Drama came out and she began training for that, as it became her parents dream to see her win it. Why would she be training “just in case there was a reboot” and then never audition for Pahkitew Island or Revenge of the Island? Sure, she wasn’t sixteen yet, but surely her parents wouldn’t care about that, and surely Chris would have gotten a kick out of seeing a child beat up teenagers. Also, if Priya is fifteen or sixteen dating 17-19 year old Caleb is kinda freaky, no?
