The Chris Chan comparison is funny but honestly a goody two shoes character called Cool Cat is a couple rungs under Sonichu the electric hedgehog Pokemon in terms of creativity. That's probably because Sonichu was the earnest creation of an autistic kid and cool cat was the cynical creation of some fuckhead
@ChrisSmith-mi2zo14 күн бұрын
Chris also just blatantly copies any media that interests them at the time, so while you get a bizarro corrupted version, it at least has a solid root. You know, by sheer mimicry, Sonichu can have something vaguely resembling characters or a plot. Cool Cat is just a mouthpiece for Savage, thinly veiled at the most, and a single atom apart from just reading a manifesto at a camera at times.
@AnAverageGoblin14 күн бұрын

I'm not going to lie - these clips actually do feel like "so bad it's good" kind of junk to me. Hearing Dirty Dog talk to Beaver in essentially the exact same voice had me cackling.

Desperation, that's the word I'm thinking of when I see the cool cat guy...

It's kind of mind-boggling to see that Derek has crew coz every shot feels like there's greenscreen involved (even when it's clearly not).

If you told me Derek Savage was a character played by Richard Brake for a surreal adult swim comedy bit, I would not doubt you for a second

Derek is the case study on what happens when a furry never finds fellowship with other furries in the community. The isolation melted his brain and now even we won’t claim him. Perhaps there’s an alt timeline where Cool Cat is parading around cons and attending room parties with others who share his affinity for musk. But that’s not this reality. That’s too bad.

I think Daddy Derek is morphing into Dirty Dog in real time. Same initials and everything.

Watching Derek interact with technology explains so much about his film making.
