AMAZING batch of gorgeous agates, binghamite, iron banded formation, quartz and others! All of the eyes, banding and quartz crystals in the agates from around there are so incredible. I absolutely love the binghamite! 🤩 Super cool ones with lots of iron in them. The Mary Ellen Jasper is so cool, but these have the best swirls I've seen in a long time! I really like the iron banded formation, you really find the fantastic ones that polish so well. You've outdone yourself again Thomas, thanks so much for sharing this batch!✌️🤠

That was an incredible batch of polished rocks! The agates were phenomenal and the binghamite was so beautiful. I don't know if I spelled that correctly or not. You did a wonderful job tumbling those rocks!
@99Rockhounding2 жыл бұрын
That looks correct to me! It’s definitely one of my favorite rocks to tumble, but it’s also a really tricky one. There are spots that like to undercut on it and it likes to fracture very easily. It’s worth it when they turn out though!

Moss agates are interesting to tumble, they reveal some pretty cool features. I was on the north shore back in May, I found my first skip an atom, and an interesting tube agate.
@99Rockhounding2 жыл бұрын
I still haven’t found a skip an atom yet. I really like tumbling the moss agates though.

* The Agate at the 11:20 mark would make a great Pendant or Display piece. Just mount it on the plain back & show off the Water Line, Fortification & the Eyes. Truly eye popping. ~ Thanks to you I now have a word I use a lot & confuse people with.. Hooray for Chatoyancy!

@99Rockhounding I live in the middle of Minnesota & have recently been doing more rock searches. I'm always looking for agates, but now I have something new to look for - bingamite! I find a TON of waxy rocks that you can't really see through & they're mostly shades of tan. They often have other rock in them/with them. I don't think they're valuable, but I love the look of them!! Thanks for sharing your tumbled rocks. I'm currently on the final stage of tumbling my 1st batch in a tumber - 1st ever! So excited!!

* Love all the Eyes on your Favorite Agate.. ~ It would be Interesting to put a small Powerful flashlight under the Agates like the one at the 3:44 mark so we could see thru it.. ~ The bands n the stone at the 4:10 mark are Great, but the Quartz is so CLEAR!! makes a really WOW Rock & the Eyes are lovely.. ~ I would like to see you put a high powered Flashlight behind the Agate at the 12:09 mark & see if it is an Iris Agate...
@leslyeschoenhuth11072 жыл бұрын
The 12:00 mark Agate also has the narrow Bands that I would like to see a bright Flashlight behind it..

Ah mate, they turned out fantastic, such a polish on them, Shame the white bellied slug one, chipped on the edge, if you retumble it, you may rubbed its white belly away, could you just polish the chipped edge on a wetstone, and wet n dry paper to polish it back up? Edited to add, the bigamite kicks ass
@99Rockhounding2 жыл бұрын
That’s my fear too. I just got a vibratory, but it needs some parts. Once I get that up and running I might see if I can just run it in that.
