The Richmond's proximity to Golden Gate Park alone is worth it. Yes, it's foggy and frigid in the summer. But it's a low-key, authentic neighborhood with so many mom-and-pop stores, great food, and amazing natural beauty. Clement Street is absolutely wonderful. I also didn't know that the Farallon Islands were part of the Richmond District. I've lived in SF for two decades and didn't know that.
