I found a book once that was basically stories told by men and women that lived in the old west. A lot were about cattle drives. One was by a guy that was from the same place I am (Gainesville, Texas) and he said his family was slaughtered by Comanche Indians on Christmas day 1863 in Cooke County. Come to find out that really happened in the area. People think these are dangerous times today, but they're nothing compared to people living in the 1860s.

I wish I could find that book again. It was the most informative book I've ever seen and it was written in the very early 1900s.

I agree with prev. poster. Flicker flash every 3 seconds or so does ruin an otherwise nicely filmed presentation. I am done with it also. (3:45-bye)

Quite often bad guys were elected sherrif because you needed a really bad guy to stand up to all the other bad guys. They had to be pretty handy with a firearm. It was not a job for the average joe.

I liked the information but disliked the presentation. There was no structure and their voices grated on me. It felt like I was overhearing a pointless conversation.
