I understand its in a tunnel and how they cut out lose concrete, but it needs know how to use a trowels, to patch 1 seems to take 1 hour, should just take 5 mins, but in the work done nice.

This honeycombs are look like poor workmanship ,no proper shuttering,poor spacing with steel reinforcement and shutterl,no proper cleaning before concreting or poor vibrations in concrete pumping time.May be a government project without proper supervision done the project.

I am not at all a civil engineer.But I know many most modern technology in concrete than an Indian civil engineer.I worked various government projects abroad under very very strict environments with Germans,Americans,British and Italians.In my knowledge I have got a good opportunity to done bomb proof aircraft shelters to withstand any attack from missiles,bombs, nuclear,biological and chemical.It was a 630 million cubic meter concrete project.Even the high frequency vibrators are imported from Germany to penetrate vibrations up to 13 meters depth. The frequency of needle vibrators used is 200 Hz.In my knowledge may be this kind of project is no more than this Oil rich nation in Asian region.Many many examples for me.The Indian engineers are not knowing what is going on site. ILLITERATE unskilled workers are advising the engineer.That we can see in the roads or any govt projects.In abroad a road contractor must sign a guarantee of 20 years for his work.He can't escape.The rules and regulations are very very strict and tough.I learnt under this circumstances and done the job.Not only civil, as a consultant, M E P Also done.In abroad we have to look after all kinds work. Mechanical means H V A C,Diesel Engines,All kinds of bomb proof clam shell doors,Aircraft fueling and re fueling,fire fighting machinery for aircraft and so on.Electrical high voltage up to 132 k v , all LT distributions,Diesel Engine power stations,400 HZ Power system for aircraft so on. Plumbing means waste water management,Sea water desalination plant,R O V Plant,Fire hydrant water supply,potable water storage and supply,air craft fuel supply network and so many things. Even toilet waste is recycled and water using for landscaping.Many many things handled and studied.A short summery of my technical life is this.
