never played assassin's creed but that video is on here also, I'm guessing it is. the song has been around since 1605, and was sung in English courts, but its fun even to this day.

Quite probably. Assasin's Creed Black Flag has a lot of good shanties on it that had my husband and I singing along as my son was playing it. The game also included a lovely and quite appropriate version of the Parting Glass at the end.
