Would love to see a Dan Wells run liveplay with members of Brotherwise and Dragonsteel as PCs that possibly gets adapted into comics/graphic novel a la Adventure Zone.

Thank you for going into the details on this! Interspecies antagonism is going to be a cautious subject in our campaign. We're looking forward to the handbook addressing it in a way that we as players can appreciate the setting and address that subject in a way that befits our characters and ourselves.

Phenomenal work, Lydia! On behalf of all BrandoSando / Cosmere fans, a huge THANK YOU to you and the incredible team for pouring your heart and soul into this experience, as to many of us it's much more than "just a game." It's very apparent the Cosmere RPG is a passion project, and we could not be more appreciative of what you guys have created. We are very much looking forward to watching the community develop over the coming decades...it's going to be nothing short of epic! Take care and God Bless!!

I'm buying the world books but will sit on the rest of the books right now. The game system looks great, and I'm a mega Sanderson fan, but I'm curious to see if this game gets fleshed out enough to be someone's primary TTRPG. Part of me feels like being in an established world that is trying to hard to be "cannon" puts severe limitations on campaign narratives. I just imagine that every high level campaign will end in a fight w/ Odium as that's how the entire book series is set up, and that feels kind of limiting to me.

Yes, my concern is similar. Will there be enough variety of enemies? because dnd bestiaries are endless, but Roshar is so limited in comparison

There are a lot of stories to be told on Roshar, but part of what makes the Cosmere RPG so exciting is the opportunity for characters to adventure beyond one world and face threats across the Cosmere. As for variety of enemies, check out today's Kickstarter update for some thoughts on adversaries and combat! www.kickstarter.com/projects/brotherwise/the-stormlight-archive-rpg/posts/4174838

@@CristianzenV limitation could be a feature. I can imagine that a full 1-20 campaign would be way quicker than a D&D campaign. I imagine that the entire game with all worlds will be extremely deep but going all the way to beating Odium down just on Roshar might be a few month campaign and I’m ok with that if the “GM resources” are robust.

@@BrotherwiseGames very much looking forward to it. I’m jonesing for the Scadrial stuff. The game looks fun and the hog heist made me laugh out loud for real. I so wish that one guy used the pig as a weapon I would have loved to see y’all adjudicate that one, lmao.

I'm thinking of going the same route on the world books. The playtest rules are a little convoluted and they have the skeleton of D&D which I think is holding the system back. I get that they want to draw D&D players in but having to count out squares / measure distance, a seemingly convoluted money system, carry capacity rules in weight, and lots of other little things add up for me to make it seem not as fun as it could be. I'm also having trouble figuring out a wide variety of enemies my players could encounter on Roshar, most will end up being some version of human or voidbringer. Depending on the tools they have to support a wide variety of types of those soldiers the game may get stale quickly. I'll probably pick up the books and just toss those rules out the window, but I'm hesitating because of it.
