Everyone always wants to show condos in the heart of whatever city they are showcasing on their KZbin channels. @willsmith3911 ай бұрын
@@PJoeyCho We were talking about if something is reasonable or not. I was arguing it wasn't based on comparative salaries and affordability. You are arguing it is reasonable now because sales prices for new condos in Bangkok are now also my massively over inflated. Which seems an extremely weird argument to me. Here in Hong Kong our real estate market is also extremely unaffordable relative to household income, but there's enormous pressure on the gov to finally address it. Certainly no one's using words like reasonable or arguing high rents can be justified because sales prices are also insane. The reason the condo market in Bangkok and Hong Kong is so out of step with local wages is because its not local wages that are buying these in either place. It's not domestic buyers that are driving these sales prices in Bangkok - it's 'hot' money from overseas, China and Russia in particular.

That's why it's 2 years old and still vacant. Nobody is paying those prices.

Come on chaps, no point in shooting the messenger. As the title suggests, changes are afoot regarding BKK real estate price points. Real estate values have skyrocketed around the world, particularly in cities of note during the last two years. Considering these changes, Chris seems to be right on the money, so to speak. Great upload as usual, thanks Chris.

Hello! New subscriber here ! How are you? I have a question the condo if planning to buy is it cash or how many years to pay for the loan? Or mortgage. Thank you for your time .

What are condo fees like there? I’ve never seen you talk about the monthly condo dues/fees? Thank you

You don't pay fees while renting. It's the responsibility of the Owner.

Let me get this straight, In some places here I can either buy 1 steak with elbow sprinkles of fresh ground salt .. (or) live an entire month in Beautiful Thailand. 🤔? The Food is abundant and found almost everywhere, And to top it off most people there are Extremely kind and friendly . 🙏 😍🇹🇭🥰. It's a no brainier. Thank you so much for all your amazing adventure videos. I love them all. khrap Khun khrap!

I live in Nashville, Tennessee and for the cost of the 2 bed 2 bath condo I can buy/rent a town home here in America for the same price. And it’s 1800 square feet. lol my current rent is around $3000 US per month. But it’s a high rise in the best address in Nashville. I can’t imagine paying them $1600 per month for a condo in BKK.

Real interesting as usual but one question. Most people get 3 to 6 months visas, so who is the target for these apartments?
@user-yt19811 ай бұрын
Working and retired expats. Also rich Thais.
@markkelleher133911 ай бұрын
Rich Thais will get far better deals than these. These are for farangs who don’t know any better.
@user-yt19811 ай бұрын
@@markkelleher1339 Correct. Thais always get better prices. But they are living in the same condos as Farangs. The question is not about the price, but who lives there. I know it, because I am living in one of such condos.

There is no 6mo visa option
@Kryssthealien11 ай бұрын
@@ericsmith-VN No but usually between the border run and other tricks you can stay longer than the 2 months permitted. What I'm saying is, if these condos are available only yearly, who is it for? I'm just curious

My guess is that most looking to relocate to Bangkok are not looking to pay the same or more than what they pay in their country of origin. But it was nice to see how the other half lives.

Another great video! Im curious to know how hard it is for smokers to find condos in bkk 🤔
@AndTheCorrectAnswerIs11 ай бұрын
In so many of these videos I rarely see anyone using the building amenities which were the hook to get them in there. I think I much prefer the older condos built in the '90s and earlier where you got real wood furnishings instead of IKEA stuff, and where you get twice the amount of space for the same amount of rent.
@dansanpedro548411 ай бұрын
Question is how does Noi get paid? Other bloggers are saying that rents are getting cheaper in Bangkok because there are so many vacancies while yours is definitely a lot more expensive. Maybe RW4U real state is not the way to go.
@farangatang11 ай бұрын
Definitely something to think about. Prices are definitely down yet ALL his rental videos share the high prices. It's not just the buildings/areas he's choosing. As others have said you can find direct comparables in the same areas for half the price. The Punnawithi condo was what really makes me question the motives of his rental videos. I know for a fact that you can get a rental at The Line 101 for half of what he quoted at the first condo.

Does anyone know what a typical rental lease in Thailand looks like? Is month to month common? Or is it mostly a one year lease? I ask because I could make the dream come true a lot sooner, but my job is pretty irregular, and I would need to be present in Canada to get paid. Some years might be 6 months, Thailand, six months Canada. Others might be year on year off etc.
