@@jjmccloud facts, they have not been produced for a production gm automobile since 2002. That's twenty years. Love the gen1 sbc and have two sbc powered vehicles. They are expensive to build decent power. It's frustrating to see a junkyard 6.0 LS swap with just a cam, springs, and headers making more power than a purpose built 383 with expensive heads, intake, cam etc.

Is the '98 vortec related to the LS architecture? I noticed on my truck the valve covers are the same as the LS valve covers. Sorry for the stupid question, I'm just now getting interested in the LS motors, they're so cheap.

It would be different n kinda cool imo if it was turbros garage trademark if u buy boosting parts once (turbo, intercooler, piping, fuel pump, ect) and put it on the engine of every car u get. Just to explore the mechanical limits of things people would never think to turbo, have fun and beat on it like a red headed step child, all before a badass swap goes in. Unless u discover a hidden gem that could be the next ls or jz

Anthony Porter would be better for an LT1 4th Gen since all the parts practically will bolt right up. With an LS 4th Gen it’s better to just go single turbo under the hood.

That’s the cost of new parts, you can Nicole and dime here and there but you’ll be risking reliability in the long run. That’s why 2 years later the Tahoe has been reliable af outside of blowing the infamous 60e💁🏽‍♂️
