i dont get how they can write that Fred was "fortunate enough to me Charmaine"?!!!! i sincerely thank god i never had met her through all those years i worked at channel 10 as a cameraman. i say that because when she did pass away, everyone that had MET her wouldve been so shattered,so hurt and upset that its unthinkable, where as i having never met her,was upset but not much as those people who wouldve met her

Thanks. To me (being Dutch) this video gave me the best insight into the personality of this young woman, I've never known off, before her death. Obviously some of her inner trouble shone through during the interview. Very sad she lost the battle against this terrible disease. May she rest in peace.

Wow. This popped up on my feed. She was my favourite newsreader back in the day. I saw her once at Perth zoo for the introduction of sun bears I think it was. She was lovely and really bubbly. Little did we know that a horrible battle was raging within. Doctors miss diagnosed her. She had bipolar and given the wrong type of medication. That was making things worse. Just absolutely heartbreakingly tragic. Rip Charmaine 🌹

i can see a lot of sadness in her expression, she is trying her best to hide it. it is such a tragedy that she died. this just shows how important it is to speak up about your depression.

I've suffered depression for 30 years I no what I'm talking about never call a person who ends it a coward for them it's the only way can think of stopping the torture they r going through so if you've never suffered mental illness keep your opinions to yourselves u don't no what u r talking about

Never that easy for those of us with treatment-resistant, non-reactive (not related to life circumstances) depression. For those like me who are on their 8th/9th/10th different medication, it does get rather tiring and frustrating. Nothing we can do though, everyone reacts differently to antidepressants.

Depression is an illness like any other, those who think otherwise have no clue.Just because she was beautiful and successful does that mean she wasn't suffering. She was in real pain and unless you go through it personally you have no idea period.

Not blaming ten, but i honestly don't know the reason why they produce their perth bulletin in sydney. There would obviously be a reason for it that i don't know about but i for the life of me can't figure it. I can't help but think had she been in perth around childhood friends and her parents she may have beaten her depression. R.I.P charmaine and any of her loved ones reading this STAY STRONG this angel is forever looking over you.

There is no such thing as perfection, so just live and be happy to be alive. Jumping into rocks isnt going to solve a thing it will only cause pain for those left behind.

I actually noticed around 3:17, she seemed a little confused. In a nutshell, I felt that it was her pain in her own words. So very sad. RIP Charmaine.

Not only is it so bizarre how she killed herself but she decided to kill herself in one of the most tragic possible ways. Her depression and mentality was obviously on a very different level.

Thank you for saying that. It is indeed an illness like any other. People just do not understand. I know what I have- a close, wealthy family, lots of friends, dreams, accepted into a fantastic university...but I want to die! It's nothing to do with my situation, nor my upbringing...it's a chemical imbalance in my brain.
