The fact that mainstream country music ditched this style for the garbage they play now is a shame! I’m so glad you guys exist and you continue the tradition!

It's been made apparent to me time and time again that Scandinavia has a great respect for country music! Love to see that it's popular over there!

Scandinavia has a great admiration for all things Americana... you should REALLY check out their soul and classic Motown scene... especially out of Sweden and Denmark... you'd think they were the Isley Brothers or James Brown.

Throughout the 1930s many variants of country music arose, including “The Western Swing” that incorporated drums and the steel guitar. As well as the western swing, cowboy films played a very important part in the evolution of this genre of music.

For the pickers out there, notice the following. The drummer has no cymbals therefore no crash boom bah, between chord changes or moving from a verse to a chorus or solo. Modern players tend to mess up the feel and groove by adding too much noise with all the extra "banging". The steel jockey is working a modern Sho-Bud Pedal Steel but he's got that tone down pat. His quick pulls are on the money for that 50's to 60's Nashville sound. I do believe (being one myself) an 8 string lap steel would have been just that much more authentic. Left hand third finger pulls with the correct pinch form can come pretty close. After all, lap steel came first, then they moved to single pedal and it grew from there. Of course, this fellow was playing in E9th tuning too... C6 tuning would have been that much more old timey. All singing into what looks like an RCA Ribbon mic... cool! Great Nudie clothing looks... the TV cameras back in the day (Vidicon Tubes) used to flare up with those suits. Fabulous job boys. Bob Ottawa, ON, Canada
