This is a low-budget, slightly comical version of the “Modern day man transmigrates into ancient times and marries several beauties”-story with decent actors. This version differs in 1. ML being a Magistrate (not fake Eunuch), 2. A larger part of the story takes place outside the Palace/Court and 3. ML is not lecherous and only marries one. Well, this one made it to one of my playlists. SYNOPSIS - SPOILER ALERT!!! ML is a modern day man who is killed in a car accident. But instead of dying, he transmigrates into ancient times where he literally lands on a group of swordsmen engaging in a fight with a woman (FL). At first he thinks he is on a film set, but when the woman holds her - very real - sword to his neck he realizes that he is now in the body of a county Magistrate. He manages to surprise her, so he and the men are able to capture and tie her up. Thinking she is beautiful, he decides to play out his new identity and hears her case. She claims that the son of a Minister has stolen her property and wants to take her too. When he kind of admits to doing so and thinks he’s protected by his father, ML has him flogged and thrown out of his court. Then he unties FL. Surprised at his support/righteousness, she offers him herself. To avoid a marriage, he claims to be unable to perform in bed and sends her off. But later, when he is attempted to be assassinated, she saves him. So, he takes her up on her offer to become his bodyguard. Things get complicated when a woman looking exactly like his wife in modern times arrives. Soon ML is caught up in dealing with challenges of this country and its people - like starvation, infestations, filling the treasury and enemy invasion - since the woman turns out to be the female Emperor. And on the way, he picks up several useful beauties. Well, as usual this has a happy ending.
