I started painting cars at the age of 12. I've been working on hot rods since I was 8. My father and my uncle taught me everything I know. Been building and painting for over 47 years. I can no longer do it due to medical reasons so now I live vicariously through you and other youtubers and moterweek network shoes.

I loved painting cars before I retired. The adrenalin would start flowing when I mixed the paint and really never stopped until I was finished.

Hi…I also have the same feeling…adrenaline would start as I put everything right to start painting…nervousness would creep in but I’ll keep myself cool because I knw what im doing…but just as I would start to paint I would always say a little prayer…lol…and 98% of the time the job would come out very neat…just nw n then a run or some dirt…but ja…I thought im the only one thar get that feeling lol😂…👍

Looks like excellent color,good overlap skills. Nice job. I painted cars and trucks for 15yrs. Painted at Allis Chalmers for 2 yrs, and AMGENERAL for 15yrs also.2 yrs on H1 commercial trucks. 2 for Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Hola buenas noches,este vehiculo quedo miy bien,pero porque no pasaron el video como cuando pinto el camaro candy,fue el camarografo paso a paso siguiendo los movimientos de como se aplica la pintura,a mi en lo particular me encanta la manera de como aplica la pintura,con el camaro mostro como se delinian las franjas,y con el chevi ya lo habia hecho con antelacion,lo bonito es ver como lo hace,reciban saludos desde el puerto de veracruz , 🐙🌴🏖️🦈✌️

Hi great look. Nice. I was wondering have you did anything with a 97 Ford Eddie Bauer HA pearlescent color. That's my favorite color. I was hoping one day to paint all my vehicles and bikes, trailers that color. Grew up seeing a guy having everything vehicle including work ones same color. Lol

The problem of some technicians: After painting, the view of the car with the reflection of things on it because of the luster, it is winding and not level like the paint of the factory, is this from the basis of paint, from putty, bad Smurfre, iron or paint layers? Go to 10:17 and you can see how far away he is with the last coat of color. Its called a drop coat. It makes the metallic stand up.

How do you like the VC5700 clear vs others like DCU2024/2021 and HOK clears? Im looking to try something new but i can't find anything on the VC5700 clear...

DCU2021 is still my favorite. Cost and film build is why I use the VC5700. Its designed to help cover lines and artwork so it takes a little playing around to get it to lay really flat. Never used any HOK clears. Also the VC5700 I beleive is compliant in all markets. Google" PPGRefinishVC5700" at the bottom are links to the P sheets.

Vc clears look great but don’t hold up. Better off using a clear like the 550 / wet sand and reclear
