They were amazing. I went to all of their shows on the cruise. Super friendly and kind. I told Susan she was my idol growing up. My name is also Susan, I'm the youngest child with 3 older brothers, and I loved her go-go dancing on their songs whenever they were on TV in the 60's.
@RichardJCaudle8 ай бұрын
She was amazing as an 8 or 9 year old dancing and singing with no fear. Barbara, the mom, always looked a little scared. Don't know if you've seen the documentary "Family Band: The Cowsills Story" on Amazon Prime. Lots of tragedy, but these three plus their brother John seem to have survived and are doing well. John played with the touring Beach Boys for many years.
@tinydancer628 ай бұрын
@RichardJCaudle I saw it years ago and watched it again the other day when I got back from the cruise. A sad story, but to their credit, the siblings stayed close, and loved and supported each other. Thankfully Bob, Paul, John and Susan are still going strong.

Oh wow. Such a cool story. I can believe it because they are genuinely nice people. Bud, not so nice. But his strong persistence got the ball rolling. And he was an alcoholic and people with that disorder can't always help it. Great story of survival despite an abusive father who made some really bad decisions that helped cause the decline of the Cowsills. But so happy the surviving members are back stronger than ever!

Tons of talent in this family.... youngest brother John was the singing drummer for the touring Beach Boys for many years (over 20 I think). Susan had a great "supergroup" in New Orleans with then husband Peter Holsapple of the Db's and Vickie Peterson of the Bangles. Susan lives in New Orleans and still has her own band I think. She is usually at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Fest (the best music and food fest in the USA!). each late April and early May.
