This is from a time when the goth scene had a lot more energy. I wish I was 10 years older. I was only 14 when this concert was performed. I didn't discover this band until my early 20s. And yeah, how the crowd is dressed as well as the boots Rogue is wearing; that is exactly the style I remember from back then. I only wish I could have been there. This band was truly something else.

Come to their Dragon*Con show buddy. It's a portal into the past. Plus a few other goth acts (Voltaire is a staple; Vision Video has been appearing lately and another act I was new to, Frenchy and the Punk) and there's usually a goth movement panel with various goth luminaries. Rogue's always on it. This year there was in addition to all that a goth dance/rave thing that I missed.

Hey dude, it's never too late. I feel the same way though, this concert happened when I was 14, I am 33 now. I only discovered this band in my early 20s and they never played a show near me during that time. But we still have their music to listen to from here on out.

If you watch this on CXS's Shadowbox DVD, it'll state that Rogue was sick with laryngitis during this performance, which would explain why his voice sounds so rough

Such a shame Rogue was pretty sick with laryngitis. But at least the performance was truly outstanding! I have had a lot of sore throats throughout my life, and they're quite rare for me nowadays.

I own the DVD.. And actually, I really like this specific performance. He managed to compensate by using the natural roughness of the music and just letting it work. I LOVE the energy put into it and wish I was ten years older and could have been to that show, I was only 14 in 2003.. But the style of the people attending as well as the boots Rogue wears in the show is exactly the style I remember from high school days.
