Timothy Kyle Dunn had a vision of crafting a mandolin that was affordable, played easily, and sounded great. He tap tunes the top of each TKD mandolin resulting in impressive tone, sustain and volume. He is well known for his superb setup and the looks speak for themselves.

I have purchased two mandolins from Kyle, one J Bovier and one TKD. I have been very pleased with his service and the quality of the mandolins. they play like silk with a sound I find very soothing. thank you Kyle. I hope you have an adventure that satisfies.

Kyle is a skilled luthier and a wonderful person. I love my TKD! He also did a great job bringing out the best of my Collings and J.Bovier electric. I hope to have him set up my Gibson when I in town after Christmas. For the price you cannot beat a TKD. Blessings! -Rev. Dr. John

Anyone who comes here hoping to buy one of these still can!... Well, kinda... Unfortunately the Mando Shop has closed but you can buy the same mandos (which I am almost positive are built in the same factory) on AliExpress under the Pango/Afanti/Feeling brands. They are an "in-house" brand that many companies still import to this day with different inlays on the headstocks. However they do require the bridge to be fit to the top and a complete set-up. Fretboards ship dry as a bone.

I did import the TKD mandolins from China. The difference between other Chinese imports and the TKD is the refinements I did to the finish, frets, bridge and setup. The thing that elevated the TKDs to an even higher level mandolin was the tap tuning I did to the top of each one so buying direct from China won’t be the same. If it doesn’t say TKD on the headstock, it’s not a TKD or even kinda.

@@themandoshop1025 I do understand the blood, sweat, and tears put into them once you recieved them and gave them their finishing touches. Anyone can buy one but the finishing work definitely does make all the difference. I didn't mean any disrespect to you, your business or your art because I consider your mandos to be an art form.
