Her style of singing in this is called keening, and as far as I know it's just practiced in Ireland (I could be wrong about that). Keening is a haunting sound and comes with the funerals, etc. This is about 2 children that were killed by the IRA in GB. She's referring to "The Troubles" in Ireland, but the truth is....the British and the Irish have been fighting for over 1,000 years (although a peace accord chilled things out a bit), before there was an England, or an Ireland for that matter. They were previously two islands (which they still are), but with different names when their contentious relationship began. In any case, it's a heartbreaking song.

This song has a sad back story that deals with the troubles in Northern Ireland and the IRA bombing campaign on mainland UK. In 1993 an IRA active Service Unit planted two bombs in a busy shopping street in Warrington a town in England. The bombs killed two children, one, a three year old, instantly and one, a 12 year old, who died 5 days later. 54 people were injured in the explosions. This was a protest song.

If you look at them, they're listening and watching the video on a phone so they probably put on a seperate music video (you can see at the start when she sings its not synced 100%) for YT for our benefit which they obviously cant pause at the same time they paused it.
