I got this wheel about a year ago. I used it primarily with Forza Horizon 4, Project Cars 2, and American Truck Simulator. It's really not a bad wheel for a non ffb wheel. I got it when it was on sale so a little less than full price, and it has brought me a good amount of enjoyment over the past year. I am now upgrading to a Thrustmaster T300 RS as soon as it arrives, but the PXN V9 was a decent intermediary step between no wheel and a very good wheel, and was not terribly expensive.

Had a wheel like that few years ago, bought it off a friend for about 6 euros, which was a fair price for such a product - it was absolutely terrible, just like this one. Potentiometer with crappy encoder with visible stepping for steering, clicky, but bland feeling thin plastic shifter paddles and fully plastic two pedals that crumbled a bit every dirt rally session. It had a sequential shifter knob that also had a click sideways, which was nice for a handbrake. After adjusting gamma in game for ets2, it was the only thing it was remotely enjoyable at. This thing should cost 50 euros at best, and mostly due to a functional shifter, really no point in it otherwise.

I agree. Around $80 is what I remember paying for my first cheapo thrustmaster wheel, it was basically the same thing as this... no ffb, autocenters via bungee cords. It was actually a surprisingly decent wheel considering the price, I got a year out of it before upgrading to a wheel with ffb.
Well considering that the G27/29/923 whatever is minimally 450 dollars in my country while this can be had for a maximum of 250, with PXN official on amazon selling it for 189, the reason for this existing is pretty clear to me. The hori apex/overdrive wheels are also around 170 bucks, so for a little more I get a gear shifter. The only possible force feedback wheel I could get would cost me over 400 dollars, so this is a much clearer value proposition in my currency.

Force Feedback is unnecessary depending on what you're doing (I assume). I have never had force feedback, but unlike most people here, I've driven a car and do drive a car daily. I'm here to just be able to make more accurate inputs than on a controller. Although for drifting I heard it can be very helpful. Not as much for F1 Racing or just racing games, but for drifting at least, I heard it's mandated. Some other things I've heard about this wheel, is unlike what you said, poor build quality. For example, the entire thing is made out of plastic (wheel), and most things such as shifter and gas/brakes/clutch also break easily. I am getting mine delivered tomorrow so I will try to update this then. Although I'm quite disappointed as I wasn't trying to buy this but rather received it as a gift from my parents.. :( Now I gotta use this till it breaks which probably will be in 3 days anyways.

centering spring is a good mechanic, just like g25-29 series, centering spring is good for games with no FFB or bad FFB output, and you don't want cheap FFB like gear system anyway... no ffb is the best option until you get to high end belts or dd. Not having FFB at all and being $200 is good.

Not everything has to be new, I bought the majority of my SIM racing equipment second hand, for me it was important to have enough money to buy a g923+shifter multiple bass shakers with amps, wind SIM kit, playseat challenge, I've also modified and improved everything I can. My setup is pretty immersive, I'd love a fanatic wheel and pedals, but that would cost more than everything I've spent and not be such an immersive experience.

Wow at least yours kinda worked. I bought one, it worked for 30 minutes, went to my girlfriends parents house, came back and it was consistently spamming both the A & B buttons. And then over time of me trying to fix the damn thing (like unplugging stuff and plugging back in or resetting on PXN app) it started to make all the other buttons glitch out. At that point the entire thing is unusable. I send it back, they send me a new one for free, except this one is broken out of box, doing the same thing the first one did. They’re scumbag scammers, don’t trust them. They get passed licensing by plugging the steering wheel into the controller. If anything, go buy a thrust master or a Logitech G920. I have the G920 and it’s far better for long term and it’s the only fairly “cheap” one I’ve seen with a clutch pedal. It was $317 after tax and the shifter is an extra $60 but it’s far better than this piece of shit. Spend the extra money for a G29, or G920, you won’t regret it.

*I had bought a Thrustmaster TMX Pro for $350, it came with a ffb wheel, pedals (Clutch, Brake, Gas), Seperatly i had bought a Thrustmaster TH8A Shifter for about $215 & a cheap Amazon hand brake for about $100… Itʻs not cheap for a simple sim setup, thatʻs not including the stand if you need one which is another $100, in total thatʻs about $715 not including tax or shipping.. I also wouldnʻt recommend getting the Thrustmaster TMX Wheel, I donʻt know if it is normal but it has a loud whinning belt sound when turnning the wheel, but the ffb is still good & working..*

If you want a decent entry level wheel then look for a fanatec csr/gt3rs/turbo s/gt2, thrustmaster t150/t500 rs or a logitech dfgt, g25, g27. All of them are really good for their respective pricepoint and all of them can be had for 100 to 250 euros in good condition.

I think it's high because of travel tax. In Philippines it'd around 130 to 150 USD. But yeah i also made a diy wheel without FFB. But i would like to get a G29 someday. It's really hard ti find 2nd hand wheels in asia countries especially SEA. 200 is too much for that.

A G27 goes for roughly 349 USD or a G29(without shifter) for 390 USD in my country. 2nd hand market dried up as we entered 2nd year of the varus so much so that all of the cheap listing are "for parts" only.
