Japanese MTs are less painful to grind now a days. Compare to early days of WOTB. It doesn’t mean it is a Newbie Friendly but it is a vehicle to a decent pick for newbies. Means not recommended for newbies to grind the line but it is okay to take due to tier X capabilities. STB is an amazing tank, it is very agile as Leopard while having armor as strong as T-62A a mix bag between the two but it can’t do long range shot. Not a bad tank to hulldown fight even against some heavies. Gun handling is fantastic, for Japanese Tank Standards. Movement dispersion is never being nerf so it still have the same on movement dispersion. Yes, Dispersion is not fantastic but it is accurate enough to get a job done. Heck, STB is mid to close range vehicle, you should not have any problem operating the gun at that range anyways. STB downside is Long Range engagement, it is horrible on doing that, you gonna loss to Leo in along range fight.

ive recently got the stb1 a few months ago, and yeah its a good all rounder tank. just that the tech tree itself is a pain to grind with so yeah you learn alot if you are a new player (unless if you are one of those that managed to get to t10 by being dumb)

Well it depends... If u are close to unlocking E50M, then u should just go for it.... Otherwise I think STB-1 is more newbie friendly considering it actually have armor & gun depression

This medium is just way to overpowered imo. There are no tanks in the game with such turret armor combined with that gun depression. Its just impossible when you face one hull down

Type 71 would be better, knowing that u havent grind an heavy line yet, i bet ur gon get masteries w type71, very versatile tank, has no problem going on med side aswell, e100 is harder to handle due to his big turret, and kran is only good at supporting or hull down otherwise it wont hold enemy line. U should check out the recent vid of droodle about t71 when he hold e100, is8 and jagerooo same time. Type is a fantastic tank. Good luck! 🔥
