No I’m not sure actually! My guess would be because the snowmelt was higher than average!

Fished that lake the first time in 1991. Returned many times and had a great experience every trip in. It's much easier to fish without losing your fly in the trees after the water level drops in mid to late September. I caught a Grayling in there around 2004. I caught more fish than I could count but never did get one that was over 20 inches, probably my biggest was a Cuttbow that was 19.
