Derrick/Fusions it is possible to illegally import r33s and r34 to the US but when it gets here the amount of money and paperwork you would have to do to legally drive it on the road & get the VIN # cleared would be ridiculous. There are also a handful of legit r33 and r34 that have been imported to the US for DOT tests and other reasons that people have been lucky enough to come across and buy but there are very very few of them last r34 I saw for sale completely legal went for almost 200k

There's millions shipping containers going in and out of the country and being able to inspect each container is impossible with the limited resources custom agents have. It'll have a negatively impact because we live in a fast pace world and time is money. The owner of the skyline is taking a huge risk each time he drives it in public. The Nissan Skyline is a household name ever since grand turismo and fast and the furious made it popular. Most people will spot it in public basically being an exotic in the US. I'm sure cops will know or someone who knows the owner like a neighbors excited kid seeing a gtr will spread word around about his neighbor owning a skyline and post of pictures of it online with the license plate.
