Just like deaf people have lamps blinking at home when someone rings their door. Then Abu could get used to watching for the blinking light. The children there walk to school, all of them. But the neighbours could arrange so that the children walk to school as one flock, if they are worried it is not safe enough. In many countries it is perfectly normal, and in general considered safe, that children walk to school on their own. It is where I live, in Norway. Here it is not normal that children are driven to school. Only if they have more than 3 kilometres (ca. 2 miles) do they get bus transportation. And they walk or bike to school in all sorts of weather, sun, snow, sleet, rain… 🤗❤❤❤

Because that is how far it is to their school!!! Millions of children walk to school every day in this world. Many at my school had 3 km to get to school, those of us that had that or less, had to walk to school in all sorts of weather. We were taught that there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes. So you dress up and get out and go to school, even if you have to wade through 50cms of snow to get there!!! These kids does not seem to have that bad of a way to school, they cut down over the hill, they don’t follow the road, so it is not that far. Such small places are usually very safe for kids. ❤❤❤
