This was a beautiful representation of our country and our efforts to move forward towards developing both economically and culturally. The question asked was an important one was beautifully discussed. I hope that if you consider another installment you highlight more Afro Trinidadians and Chinese Trinidadians as well.

Why Trini still talking about. That man they call Columbus He did not discover Trinidad. 🇹🇹 was inhabited by the Caribs and the Arawacks Indians. so get the History straight. Just as how the Pilgrims in America kill out the Natives Indians and stole American Land is the same thing Columbus did to the Caribs and the Arawacks. So those People were the Real Natives of Trinidad.

I hear your Minister of Planning Dr. Tewarie and also the gentleman following him talk about Columbus discovering T&T. Is that true? Were there human beings living in T&T when Columbus visited? Were they full human beings? Or were they the type you want to discard, to be of no human worth? To be of no consequence? Or did he meet no one when he visited? I know when I first visited T&T in 1982 I saw many human beings. Some appear to have come from China, some from South America and they seemed to have human activity taking place. Consequently I restrained myself from announcing that I just discovered T&T. If there was no one in T&T when Columbus visited, the rest of the world would like to know because it would be the one and only country that he ever visited where there were no human beings doing human activities. In 100% of the other places there were human beings with their cultures doing normal human things. Can we say Columbus discovered T&T?

The Caribs who were cannibals were the natives Columbus met in the south and they unleashed bows and arrows on his ships. My students in California were scared as they thought I was saying I was a cannibal. Hey Beau, it’s good to see you on this site. Gail.

@@gaildelima2755 Unfortunate for the Caribs that they did not have guns and gunpowder.
@wazeedali96735 ай бұрын
Belvedere92 Columbus did not discover Trinidad we all know that. He renamed the island and I prefer the original name “Iere”which was the given name by the original inhabitants he met here. For educated people they should know better.
@wazeedali96735 ай бұрын
@@gaildelima2755 It’s questionable that the people Columbus met were cannibals and I suspect it’s only a myth concocted by the Europeans to conquer and decimate the Tainos, Kalinagos and the other races they met here.

Sight seeing is a wonderful get away from home experience the only thing I enjoy and love about Trinidad.Tobago is much nicer than Trinidad.The people are more humane than the ones in Trinidad. Trinidad is lawless and Godless and too Corrupt and perverted and perversed.Freedom of the mind is non existant in Trinidad.Too much Narco Nazi Mind and thought terrorism in Trinidad. They do not arrest these evil doers in Trinidad from Debe and Penal and the Police Service. Too many international fugitives living in freedom in Trinidad and holding high positions and even working in the police service and judiciary and holding positions in parliament the public and private sector especially the banks and communication companies utilites companies and private security companies.Manufacture of the worlds largest amount of cocaine and herione goes on unperturbed in Debe and Penal in their trilogy underworld of tunnels landmines millstones the full works as in the days of the war of vietnam. Hope us nato arm forces intervene in this pandemic drug situation.
