I refinish a lot of furniture, sand, paint stain, you name it mostly cause I'm too cheap to buy new, I like the quality of old better and I don't trust hiring anyone cause no one will care about the finish as much as the owner, this owner anyway. I'm neat as a pin with my project, but I wear painting clothes, which are mostly whatever clothes I accidentally wiped paint on, lol. Have finished maple, oak and 150 year old pine floors. Painted and or stained everything in the house. Recently refinished dining set and painted the seat cushions, painted our leather furniture, refinished oak staircase after a summer of sanding 30 year old decking and re-staining porches. I rub my hands on my pants and shirt regularly unless I'm not wearing painting clothes, but bout 5 times out of ten I forget and voila, new painting clothes, lol. I get the impression, Kacha is really Zen when she is in the painting zone. I really appreciate her creativity and every piece becomes its own little masterpiece. My husband told my son I was painting the couch and my son laughed and said, "Careful, Dad, next she'll paint you." My husband told him, "So far she's only painting things that don't move." My son replied, "Well, if she paints the cat, look out, Dad, your probably next."

Kacha, I just joined your channel. I have never joined any channel, but you have helped me so much I had to thank you. After I lost my husband in 2010, taking care of our two young children is how I coped. Now the kids are 19 and 22 and I had too much time to alone. I fell into some feelings of hopelessness. I have always been a decorator. I even had my own little company years ago. I sew, I paint, I collect. My kids are used to whole rooms changing overnight. All that stopped during Covid. Then I saw one of your videos and boom! I got excited to do some work! That was a few months ago. I've done quite a few projects since using your techniques. Thanks! PS I wash my brushes with dish liquid, it takes all of the paint or wax off the brush, then I dip them in a solution of water and fabric softener and towel dry into original shape. I learned this from another artist years ago. My brushes last forever like new! Maybe you could share this hint with your viewers? XO

Wow, Kacha! When I saw those colors you had to use, I have to be honest and say I did not think there would be a way to blend them to look good, but you did it! That is one of the prettiest colors!
