Mike deserves way more credit than he gives himself for sure. His take on all the stories on the Dale Jr Download were part of what made the show as great as it was in my opinion

Herm, Thank you so much. As a 58 year old responsible for 300 plus employees/teammates, I really appreciated this conversation with Mike. Hes an incredibly humble and clearly hard working guy. Without a doubt, he means as much to Jr and Kelly as they mean to him. Money drives us all but the relationships we build sustain us and overflow our buckets. Absolutely love your channel brother.

As much as I am a Dale Jr can I am also a Mike Davis fan. Seeing the friendship on air between Jr and Mike was special because everyone knows how guarded Jr is with his life and who he lets into it. He let Mike Davis into his life not only in business but into his life more importantly as a true friendship. I miss Mike being on the download, but respect his reasons for giving it up. The Dale Jr download wasn’t just a therapy session for people in the NASCAR world, it was and is a therapy session for me too. Listening to Jr talk about his dad and how things were with their relationship helped me when my father passed away unexpectedly 5 years ago . Like Jr, I always wanted more of a relationship with my dad. Thank You, Kenny Wallace for this interview of Mike Davis. It made my day at work listening to it!

Kenny I wish today’s NASCAR had personalities like back in the day when you, and Schrader raced. Back when Dale JR was getting popular I don’t think his fans could get enough of hearing JR talking. We watched every interview documentary, and everything else. It was nice to being able to hear Dale jr on a podcast just talking about racing or whatever. He always had the persona of just being shy and quiet. Thankful for Mike Davis for bringing Jr more out into the public for his fans
@larrylitz8964Ай бұрын
This is such a great productive video, and like Mike said , I do believe that Dale Jr is getting closer to his dad through the people he has on his show. Great reliving his childhood thru the older racers and people who were there in Dale Sr life. Love the older people brought on , that is the real NASCAR. Thanks for the memories.

This was maybe the best interview you’ve done yet. I became a big fan of Mike from the DJD, and I must say as a lifelong NASCAR fan I had gotten out of watching or even keeping up with the sport for a few years in mid teens, started listening to DJD early as I was early into podcasts, and it inspired me to get back into racing again. If you read this, thanks Mike Davis 🫡

Great interview by Herman. Really didn't connect the dots with all these podcast before. This was very informative learning about Mikes career and how he got to where he is. First time I was able to see and hear Mike, his personality, how humble he is. These podcast show the everyday guy like me that all these stars doing these podcast, bringing in the big names to talk and tell their life stories make me feel very connected to these guys. Shows me the superstars they are, but how human they really are. One of my favorite being a 15 year dirt race car driver was hearing the stories from the great Scott Bloomquist. The 2 podcast I watch on a regular basis are Dales and Denny's. Great job Mike Davis, you too are a superstar, very humble and easy to listen to. You too have charisma and need to find a podcast format for yourself. An hour and a half with Kenny Wallace went by very quick because it was so enjoyable hearing your stories.

I hope this gets to mike because I’ve never taken the time before to leave a comment. I took the time to read who was always behind dirty mo years ago. I watched or listened to all the pod casts . They were all excellent , fun , informative . I never viewed mike as dales side kick . Mike made the show. Sure , I’m a jr fan and a sr . But never so much as after those first 100 podcasts. Mike and jr brought nascar back on my radar after years off, maybe almost 20. Hell of a job mike. Unfortunately , the show hasn’t been the same since . After all , Butch had Sundance . I still watch jr but only if I see someone of interest . Good job mike ! We know who you are and what you achieved. Hell, even my wife watched with me. 👍👍👍

Mike great interview with Kenny. Know I believe you were wrong on leaving the download. You and Dale have the history together, the friendship that you have built and the chemistry to make it all work. The interaction between you and Dale was the magic that made the show work and become so popular with racing fans. Dale is so comfortable around you that is what has opened him up to become the great host that he is. At least please entertain coming back at least once to twice a month. As a favor to the fans and also maintain the show’s original popularity.
