I think the crowd's reaction is coming from their mics (the ones they used during the panel). They never have a mic setup specifically for the crowd, aside from the 2 mics used for Q and A.

I really wish that I'd had the opportunity to attend. I think I would have just been content sitting quietly in the crowd and hanging on to their every word and just being in their overall presence. I probably won't have any chances to meet The Creatures or see them in the real world, but watching panel videos like this really gives me a more personal feeling towards them.
