The game looks great! My only issue are the extremely wide roads. Its ridiculous how huge they are and you only ever come across 5 cars at a time.

I disagree. Wide roads make "Lane Driving," easier, not only that, it makes follow the leader cruises easier too, it just looks cleaner playing a game with roads wide enough that when you are cruising your driving can be done so cleanly and systematically. If anything I would argue most car games don't have wide* enough roads. Forza Horizon 5 for how big it is, the roads could definitely by maybe 2-3 feet (12-36 inches) wider.

​@@ISeekMANBEARPIG Dude no way. The roads in Horizon 5 are already really wide compared to how it feels when I go driving for real in my car. I actually wish more roads outside of the highways and main roads in games were SMALLER. Mountain roads especially are always stupidly wide in games like Forza and The Crew. Makes it feel nowhere near as exhilarating or technical to attack in game as it does in real life. And because they're all so wide with not enough curves or hairpins chained together, you always have to be doing stupid/unrealistic speeds to get the tyres and suspension to really start working at their limits. In real life when I hit up my favourite mountain roads and midnight driving spots... I'm probably doing 90kph max. Any faster and I'm going to end up flying off the edge of the cliff. In FH5 however, the main volcano road I'm easily knocking on 200kph through a lot of sections and even holding 140kph through the tighter turns, and that's not even in a supercar/hypercar which is just silly tbh 😓 Now sure once I'm on the highway my car will easily hit 240+kph (150+mph). But to even get near that on backroads/normal roads irl is just not happening. Having all these huge wide roads everywhere just makes the map feel boring real fast and hurts the sense of speed as well. If your surroundings are dense and close enough to you, even 120kph will feel like you're zooming. It also makes hitting those 320+kph speeds on the highway feel a lot more special when you're not just doing 250+ all over the map.

Before first use you should calibrate them on PC. If you're going to use them plugged directly to the base, you should update your base to the latest firmware. After this, it's plug and play.

They’re okay. Definitely better than The Crew 2’s physics, but still definitely an arcadey feel to them. I do like them, but I still prefer Horizon’s simcade physics. There’s yet to be an open world racing game with physics as good as Horizon’s - I’m hoping TDU: Solar Crown’s are good (keep in mind I haven’t played Motorfest with a wheel, yet)

Depends on what you like. I enjoy it more than FH5, I also liked TC2 more than FH5. TCM fixes my issues with TC2 physics and even builds on top of it. For me games like this just work so much better with more arcadey physics.

Turn off the driving assists, and in my opinion its the best of both worlds, not quite as punishing as horizon 5 but it's the perfect balance between that and some arcadiness. I kind of prefer it tho tbhh

Cars look great, but the environments already look dated. The pop in is rough as well. With more polish it might actually be a good game. It's no threat to Forza Horizon at the moment.
