The single-player campaign has no structure, it’s literally just “Go do whatever the fuck you want and we’ll stop and nag you every hour about the Horizon Adventure.” And the festival playlist is shitty FOMO. If I take a break from the game for a week or longer because I actually want to enjoy my life and/or other games, I shouldn’t be punished by losing the ability to obtain whatever new cars were released in the time I was gone. I’m not wasting hours of my life in the auction house, and I’m not sticking around for half a year to wait for its return.

No no no. You're looking at a low-res YT video. In reality TCM is not in the same universe as Horizon. Horizon is one of the best looking games of the last five years, and TCM is honestly flat out hideous in some areas. It's an improvement over TC2, but still the textures, the models, the trackside detail, the lighting...it's all a long, looong way behind Horizon.

@@paulschauer1296 It would be more realistic if you lived on a higher density planet, with greater mass and gravity. There is something called momentum. Gravity must respect you. There is no way for a car to change the falling curve before speed and momentum decrease. Try jumping in Forza Horizon and you'll experience a more physically accurate jump.

This is the YT video effect. The compression of a video and the lower resolution can trick you into thinking that some games look better than they do. I own both these games running at their console max on Series X and the truth is that TCM just isn't in the same class as Horizon 5. FH5 is so much better looking in every respect. The level of detail on things that you never even notice, like the cactus plants in the desert, is just insane. FH5 is one of the best looking games ever made, and it somehow looks more consistently beautiful than the latest Forza Motorsport, even though that game is a current gen exclusive and took six years. TCM is a better looking game than TC2, but it's not even close to FH5.

Horizon graphics go deeper and have more detail in the textures and models, especially in the world. Cars are good in both. But Forza needs to introduce some dinamic details and elements you see in the crew game which are a bit simple in Forza. FH6 will be amazing developed without the restriction of the old engine and taking into consideration some things their rivals are doing better, that's for sure.

I am surprised the games do different things better. The windscreen wiper for example looks better on Motorfest imo. But then they forgot to add rain appearance on cloth in cabriolets which is odd. Sound wise Forza may be realistic but honestly boring. I want to feel like I am driving a roaring dinosaur, like the engine is alive. Motorfest gives me that impression a lot more. I am happy that Forza is finally getting competition cause Forza Horizon is not a high quality product like they advertise it.

It because there only 2 handle mode in the suspension which is grip and drift but Forza use tire physics so if you play Forza or gt it will feel weird but if you play played nfs or something like that it would feel normal

@@eggtaco5345 Yeah, it's like they came up with the grip racing handling...and then tried to insert drift handling by hand. So it feels unnatural. Drifting should just be what happens when your physics system models loss of traction/grip. It should just be something that naturally emerges when you intentionally force your car to lose grip. And somehow the drifting in TCM is even worse than the drifting in TC2. IDK how they did it but at least in TC2 you could actually drift the 'drift-edition' cars. In TCM you can't even do that - the 'drift edition' 370z or whatever it is, can't even do a donut. It just grips up when you go beyond 45 degrees, or it just straightens up if you're too shallow. I think the handling overall improved in TCM...but by such a tiny amount that it doesn't really matter. Whereas Horizon's handling is honestly just about flawless for a simcade/arcade racing game. It's one of the best handling models in any racing game, and they've spent five games perfecting it.

Lol i couldnt disagree more. The genre has been stale as fuck. Fh5 (as a horizon fan) was very disappointing and basically just a copy of fh3 but without the heart. The world feels actually dead and boring, the progression is even less compelling than fh4, the seasons are pretty much useless. Car noises havent seen improvements and a lot of vehicles copied from previous. Rushed and overpriced. It literally made me go back to fh4. On the other hand motorfest is the same crap but just fully arcade, and on a smaller scale. Some random details are better than fh5 but generally its not in the same ballpark with content, tweaking options and graphics. And the driving is on par with nfs. Atleast it has way more style and looks more interesting than fh5. The new forza motorsport is also a disappointment, its like a game they should have released several years ago. Only good thing they did is improve the multiplayer. Still got a lack of diversity and content, and they even resort to milking playtime out of players by making them grind just to be able to tune parts of their cars. Nfs unbound i dont need to even talk about, everyone has already done that. And other than that you got boring Formula games, and random trash. The racing game im looking forward the most for this year (or in the upcoming months) is actually an indie project called "Japanese Drift Master". And maybe when it comes time for fh6, if they try harder and if the game is set in Japan like everyone is begging for. In reality, current commercial racing games are very uninspired, and have lost a lot of the connection with actual car culture. They think the players are all children who just wanna hold the gas to the floor in lambos. And dont even get me started on the bugs and all the late patches and dlc to fix the broken game they packaged and combat the lack of content.

My favorite thing abput forza(both horizon and motorsport), is that they still haven't figured out the ability to make the wheels real and consistent. On horizon they change from one flat texture to another and motorsport for some reason swaps all wheels tp a generic model when they spin. It's the dumbest thing.

I think vegetation of the Crew looks more pretty to the eye. Sure Forza is more realistic vegetation, one thing I’d say is when Motorfest 2 comes out, they will use the snowdrop engine like Avatar. 🤯

And a thing he didnt mansion but is also worth to say is that in the crew motorfest if you dont like how a car pops and bangs you can put a pop and bang sound tune so it does it better and louder and an even better sound tune will be released, also worth mentioning is that in the crew motorfest you can engine swap but it swaps the sound only not the full engine which is for the better or worse depending on what you prefer, not to mention again the more try-hardy parts and car upgrade system which again is for person to person preference, and lastly on the crew motorfest every wednesday a so to say tournament is released where the top certain people get a platinum reward sometimes a car that is exclusive to them, then the next certain people get gold silver and everyone who plays at least one event gets a bronze reward as well as there being more rewards as you play the events and finish them no matter how well or bad. Lastly another thing is that in the crew 2 you have so called nos and perks which you can put towards the car like more bucks followers used to upgrade the level and thus get more perks more slipstreaming and so on

I think it comes down to how you play the game and what physics you perfer. Forza in my opinion has the absolute perfect balance of realism while still being just arcade enough. I also think it looks better but the crew is certainly not worse just different looking. The crew is definitely more of the classic arcade physics which isnt bad but its less engaging for me most of the time. As for cars and modding, forza wins that, but for customization and variety of vehicles, the crew wins. The crew is also a little more fun to solo play while forza is absolutely best with friends.

I love both games. Forza Horizon's ambience is really great and specially with those dark rains. It's a great balance between dark and bright. But Motorfest makes you feel the car itself, all the details in the interior and the steering, as well as the wipers make you feel like you're in the car. Btw, the next update in motorfest will bring us functional mirrors, so it's another point for immersion.

I want to like the crew more but my main issue is with the handling, any tips to make it feel more.. "normal" i guess? Any technical corners generally turn into an utter mess. Controller player btw

Handling feels more responsive to me. Faster and harder. You could try some settings but for me the handling is like in most other games. Controller just always feels like that in car games. You have to really find good controller setting too. Personally i play mostly controller but sometimes i use my steering wheel for cruising

Motorfest Graphics are really good I love them but the problem is lack of game play.. I mean CREW 2 had many more events to choose from every part fo the map depending on your cars / bikes / rally cars etc.. PERF points. In this I think its meant to be played more multiplayer than singleplayer.
