Apparently, he saw himself as less than William because William was next-in-line and probably treated somewhat differently (I didn't read the book, so I don't know what he said about that.). He probably was hurt by some of the things that happened, especially on top of losing his mother so young. The thing is, he is an adult now. He should be able to understand now that it wasn't personal. I finally (after years of therapy) came to understand that my parents did the best they could. It wasn't what I needed, but I don't blame them for my childhood. I learned that I am responsible for healing. Harry is emotionally frozen at a very young age. It's very unfortunate that mental health therapy has not helped him.

Just happened to catch this again, first time must have been only half listening while doing tasks. I now saw the obvious...A guy in his mid=thirties has a small 2 bedroom home, (given to him), and he's embarrassed to bring an important date home? Harry had spent years in the military, an experience which ushers most sloppy guys out of the "inability to straighten up my space," stage. Harry certainly had enough money and people around him, to have a simple but tasteful and presentable home.... but if Harry didn't care that would be something of note for most serious and accomplished women Meghan's age. Other men, if still living like graduate students in their mid-thirties might have been still absorbed by most demanding years of higher education, training, or career building, etc., but we know Harry wasn't. That Harry perhaps was stuck living and behaving much like a late adolescent in other wats too would have been concerning to any sensible women, even if they found him personally compelling, charming, and attractive.

I guess we'll ignore the fact that William and Catherine lived in the cottage with George before Harry lived there. Prince Harry didn't have his own quarters prior to Meghan, he lived at St James's Palace with his father, and the Clarence House. Hence the complaint that Camilla turned his bedroom into a dressing room after he left and moved into Nott Cottage. William is actually taller than Harry. Oh and there are Housekeepers and cleaning staff at Kensington Palace.

Good point to flag Harry's constant trepidation. Is it your two: (1) he was like that to begin with, or (2) is she making him feel that way? BTW It sounds like everything was given to spoiled Meghan because people were afraid of her ferocious attitude, her tantrums, her dismissiveness. Doesn't sound good. Then again, aren't they saying he secretly wanted to be bossed around by a woman?
