While the people commenting on the misplays are on point with what their saying, the amount of bashing and overly criticizing of Elliot is just not cool. People make mistakes; it definitely happens to everyone. Keep ya head up Elliot, and get ready for next week with max power! :]

TGU it’s not over criticizing it’s pointing/calling out a bad habit. His reaction after the crit made it seem like his last big threat had gotten KO’d off hax instead of just a mid game crit. It especially hurts when he immediately started tilting instead of taking a couple of seconds to recognize the situation. Which is understandable after last week, but really jarring to watch if you also watch Wolfeys pov and see his reaction and read of how bad it was for him. I want Elliot to do well, but it’s hard to not criticize tilting like he did this week

This. SO much THIS. It happens. I'm in Elliot's office and he's just been super annoyed at the whole timer situation. Like seriously, who in GF thought a 20min timer was a good idea?!? Elliot IS a pretty good battler. He's just being forced into a 'no-think' habit because of how the chess timer works, when if you watch his gen 7 battles, he takes his time and really thinks, often going below 30 seconds left on turn timer because he wants to make sure he does the best play. EVERYONE needs to chill. It's all for fun in the end! :]

Losing to the crit is an excuse. You lost when you clicked nasty plot a second time knowing he had a ditto.

Devon Hickey Pokémon is a game of making your own luck though. There’s a reason guys like Wolfey, Emvee and Pokeaim post consistently high win rates. They’re constantly playing factoring in hax and looking ahead more than just the current turn. Elliot rushed a lot this week which is understandable after last week, but at the same time it gets tiring hearing blame on hax instead of just rolling with it. Especially in cases like this where he benefitted from the hax

@@KyhronLuna I understand that. However that was just how he was feeling in the moment. Hindsight is 20/20 and he understands what he did wrong. No use in everyone telling him what he did wrong when he already realized it. This is a bad season for him. Even Wolfey said this season is more so a trail run. Yes Wolfey has higher win rates, but what else are you to expect from a previous world champion. Elliot just needs to be calm and collected when he battles, but I'm not going to tell him that because it's obvious he already know it. I just look forward to next week where he can learn from his loss and strive for the dub.

don't get so down on yourself! you win some you lose some. it was interesting watching both perspective when you were so frustrated with the crit, but wolfe didn't want the crit a that time so he could use ditto on raichu.

when your raichu got crit i feel like u couldve went kingler, used agility, rotom switches with volt switch and u get the weakness policy boost, and sweep

Then wolfey goes gmax duralodon, max guards, lightning,attack or guard again, then reverse with ditto

He probably thought you predicted him to switch into his ditto when he transformed into your gastro & you switched in Raichu probably thought you had grass knot thats why he switched into whimsi

No, I watched Wolfey's vid first. Switching ditto in gastro was the safe play (cause gastro is 100% water absorb, due to dracovish) and it gave him info about the hardest dracovish counter. Your guess on the raichu vs ditto is correct though

The timer is just stupid. I don't know why they would shorten the time so significantly whem there really wasn't an issue before. I totally understand you making a bad play in this situation. It really sucks.

Rotom dosen't get Defog in generation 8, but if home pokémon were allowed in this it would get both Defog and Pain Split... also you can't trick an Assault Vest unless you have Klutz

Shame hes making excuses. It’s the crits, the misses, the statuses. You can’t play like you’ll have luck on your side, it’s what sets you apart from players like Wolfe, Aim and MV. Watching them play, you get a lot more of the ”even if he crits me I can...” etc etc.

Exactly. And forgetting details like the tricked AV on rotom which would make it unable to use will-o-wisp and trick will stop you from making best plays.
