@@OnMyMindEntertainment Yeah. I had to unsubscribe because as much as Marvel's recent stuff is driving me crazy since Wandavision, calling Loki "the most poorly written thing Marvel's produced" kinda hurt 'cause I usually wait a while until a show goes to "drunken giraffes smacking their heads against a computer," bad. And some of the comments are a little obnoxiously anti-Marvel, too. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6uxdIGNj8SqZqM His stuff's still good, just...yeah, the title pulled me away - and I'm not even obsessed with Loki outside of "Miss Minutes is hiding something..." theories.

How did he not break the vial AND more than few bones. This is getting to be a trend, people,= dropping onto concrete or other hard materials and not break anything but at most may have a scratch or two. It's puzzling, the multiple sky beams symbolization is what it is but hitting the ground without serious injury is one to figure out. I like straight forward entertainment movies with a more simplistic approach, but this one is not at all that way, it has a load of "messages". I like the fact they portray fathers in a good light and deal with the fact that there can be complications when one is absent. Still it's also complicated to left alone to raise the a child, often multiple children, it's all individual and not so simple. Since the subject is up I wonder if he'd have an excuse...reason for so many mothers and female love interests being offed so often in storytelling beginning in the late nineties I think (need to check). In all cases in it's extremely rare to given a truly accurate portrayal of real women, men, couples or families along with the way most people think and live for so long it's hard to remember a good example. It 's like they're determined to pit groups against each other and the best way to do that is always make one "bad" while making the other "good". Hardly an example of real life, but resentment does spill over into real life and more division and misunderstanding ensues. All it makes is a few loud, unthinking and maladjusted people in any group to quickly become the face of the group; especially if they're aided by those who can affect people en masse like film makers. You noted the little girls acting. It's always amazing that some children are such great actors. The secret is they aren't caught up in "technique" and filled with training that often has tons of nonsense thrown in the mix. They're not stressing over their careers, frantically obsessing every tiny thing in a performance and still know how to play; which in the end that's all acting is, make believe. If they're relaxed and having fun they can out act everyone around them.

While rewatching this, I am realizing that there are indeed very few positive portrayals of male figures in movies these days. I mean, men absolutely can be and are assholes sometimes, but for this to be the default and almost ubiquitous representation is absurd and a bit offensive. When some people try to make a female lead movie, most can't seem to avoiding the cliché of "all men are assholes" or shitting on men in general like the recent Wonder Woman sequel.
