For people wondering why the kapros legs ain't that long. It's been discovered kapros legs were shorter than we thought and that their legs are more similar to the cuban crocodile(the croc running in the start of the video) Edit: it's not discovered. Just that kapro having shorter legs is the more proven theory.(Thanks people in the comments for correcting me)

It's not really that we discovered that they had shorter legs, we don't know what their legs looked like yet. But the long cheetah legs were obviously wrong we just thought it looked cool. Also

Well the analysis of the skull were all we had and seemed favored for more terrestrial lifestyle as far as crocs goes, as a more detailed explanation from the Rando com is that the closest specie to Kaprosuchus is Majungasuchus who is a more traditional croc body who i assume went more for the type of body the modder went for Kaprosuchus then, it's not as inaccurate as a slightly longer one (not too much let's not exagerate things too much), only a newer fossil with post cranial remains should help us have a more proper idea of what they looked like '^' (I didn't see any news on Kaprosuchus since)

@@killianft289The initial paper describing Kaprosuchus did interpret certain characters of the skull as terrestrial adaptations, but since then most of those characters have been shown to also be advantageous in a semi-aquatic niche too. Essentially the skull doesn’t give us as much info about its habitat as Sereno thought and the postcrania of its sister taxon Mahajangasuchus seems to indicate the group was semi-aquatic. You’re right that we won’t know for certain until we get postcrania for Kaprosuchus itself but for now shorter legs and a semi-aquatic niche are by far the most parsimonious solution.

The Theri wasn't using the right claw attack - it chose the quick attack instead of the correct, stock claw attack. The normal claw attack would have 3-shot you guys, but with the quick attack the theri needs many more hits

If anyone ever reads this, maybe this video will make some people understand why I wish mods were more balanced around the actual vanilla roster instead of just however they want. Because then you get annoying, overpowered overrated mods like this that pretty much punch way above what they should realistically be fighting. As Im writing this, I actually just remembered that the vanilla roster balance is actually mostly why I like this games combat. Because if you and another similar weight class creature are fighting, its almost always a very close fight because the creatures are balanced. With things like kapro though, it just has an advantage over most other things, so it ruins the fun in fighting them. TLDR, balanced creatures are actually more fun to play imo because its not just “pick this to win” and the fights are actually really fun, close and intense. You feel *accomplished* for winning fights.

They should’ve made kapro like the old meg in terms of stamina. Short bursts but fast and fast stam regen. Also the fact people say “its the slowest tier 2” but tier 2s are naturally about the fastest creatures in the game and kapro also has a weird speed burst ability because… of course it does, and it runs twice as fast as a dasp with that… yes very very slow, balanced, not overpoweringly fast mod creature with crazy damage and hp or anything. Also I don’t think a croc sounds like how this kapro does, plus its WAYY too loud. Literally its 3 call is miles louder than even a trex 1 call.

Cuban crocodile can gallop! They have also been observed in one instance of pack hunting. Its a pretty damn cool crocodilian. I love playing solo Kapro with grab, ambushing small dinos on land and giving them heartattacks, in groups and when playing the "meta" build they are insane, esp the speed/stam/stam regen and its ability to heal by eating mushrooms >.> . Also damn, that Amarg at 14:20 knows what they are doing, some solid plays from them.
