He then pretended like they were still there putting himself in dangerous situations and sometimes trying to be them and the Croods is a dive into what Grugg’s mind is thinking and show’s his delusions. In the end, he got trapped in a cave struggling to light a fire, finally letting go of his family, knowing they are dead. And so he lived his last days inside of a cave with no food or water. The croods is a psychological masterpiece
