The cross guild is a good way to bring old enemies back into the story as the cross guilds executive officers but I highly doubt Kuro or Kreig would be in the cross guild since they would have to reach the new world to join the crew. Maybe some of the tobbi roppo could join back up with the cross guild if Kaido is actually dead which I doubt as well, Like Ulit & Page One or Sasaki.

I genuinely think Buggy came up with the idea of putting bounties on the marines. Crocodile probably added to that by getting all the warlords together and form the Cross Guild. Mihawk is amongst the two as the face of the organisation because he came up with the other part of the plan. I think Crocodile also has a plan to connect Cross Guild to the Revolutionaries because both of them have the same goal (dethrone the Celestial and leave a long lasting scar on the World Government). Crocodile wants to recieve as much information on the ancient weapons as possible. The Cross Guild is also spreading information about the World Governement and turning nations against them. They are going further by segmenting the organisation into divisions. One division is hunting all the devil fruit power users and monitoring Blackbeard's move - consulting Shanks about his interests. Second divisions is tracking down the ancient weapons - keeping then 'safe from Blackbeard and others'. Third division is working with the Revolutionaries in damaging the Government's reputation and getting closer to dethroning the Celastials. Ultimately, their goal is to take hold of the situation. However, the organisation is destined to collapse because all of this leads to the One Piece and everyone has their own motives. Even though they have a mutual respect for each other and working collaboratively working towards their goal, they do not agree with each other plans. Crocodile would betray them by stealing all the copies of the ponegliffs and Shanks would defend his ponegliff because he does not trust anyone and he is ultimately making his move against Blackbeard.

i know this is completely out of topic, but my brother came with a teory. There is a character that will probably be relevant o the story that has been mentioned and we have seen the silhouette (most of the silhouette characters are important): LOKI. WE have been expecting elbaf to come soon (maybe is the next island but who knows), and the prince of elbaf will play a major role. It is important to mention that loki in norse mythology is considered not only as a trickmaster but also as the fire god. I think odas description of "marked by flames" could not just be literal but also metaphorical, so maybe lokis life changed thanks to flames. So according to the norse mythology, he might be able to control the flames and after this his life changed, gaining the title of marked by flames, but i dont really like this idea. Instead there might be an interesting parallel here. Loki in norse mythology is considered as a the god of mischief and god of fire as i mentioned before. Ironically, in one piece, big mom tried to decieve him (the god of mischief) after lola ran with her sister. Wouldnt it be also ironic if the god of fire got burnt? I havent see no one talk about this possibility and i think it is worth the shot.

A deal was likely made with Mihawk and from what we've seen, Mihawk has no real issue siding with another if he gets something in return. As a warlord, he didn't have to deal with the Navy always coming after him and so he'd help them if it was within reason. Whatever deal was made with Mihawk this time is likely to do with him not having to deal with "small fries" all the time but he'll help deal with actual threats if the need arises. Mihawk on his own is Yonko level but it's because he's a lone hawk that he's not. He fought on even ground with Shanks in the past, in what Whitebread called "Island destroying battles" before Shanks lost his arm and then became a Yonko. What we've seen Shanks do, I have no doubt that Mihawk can do the same or at least something similar.

I always figured that this is part of the reason he seems to not have a goal. He has become the strongest and there is no summit left to climb for him now. He knows he cannot hold the title forever since as Whitebeard himself demonstrated, even the strongest cannot stop themselves from growing old. If he lived to old age, then time will rob him of his strength. I think he wants someone strong enough to succeed him to appear before time can make him weaker. While he is still in his prime, he wants someone to surpass him.

@@didack1419 there's levels to fodder. A yonko crew should not be defeated by just a small fraction of another Yonko crew. The Yonkos are supposed to be of similar level and power. That's part of the geopolitical balance they contribute to. Any random ex yonko commander could pull up with a small crew and wipe out Buggy and his crew. Jack the trash could solo Buggy's fake ass yonko crew and that makes a mockery of the Yonkos.

And it's likely that Crocodile can provide elite fighters. Luffy also soloed a big chunk of Big Mom's army, prior to ryuuou and future sight and without using G4. And with the replacement of Yonkou, it's believable that the average power of the Yonkou has gone down.

Tekking about Big Mom Poneglyph, After the death of White Beard, Fishman Island fell into chaos and was later stabilized by Big Mom claiming it as her own territory. Once Big Mom had claimed it as her territory, she or her commanders would have been able to explore all of Fishman Island unhindered. This would include The Sea Forest. It was revealed during Oden’s flashback that one of the Road Poneglyphs was sitting beside another Poneglyph in the forest, but by the time the Straw Hats had arrived there, it was missing. Upon discovering the Road Poneglyph in The Sea Forest, Big Mom may have sent one of her Sweet Commanders to go and retrieve it, bringing it back to Totto Land. This would explain where Big Mom got her Road Poneglyph from since it was never revealed. This time frame would also fall in line with the 2 Year Timeskip, which was when Eustass Kid would have entered the New World. Upon arriving there, Kid may have spotted Big Mom’s ship leaving Fishman Island and carrying the Road Poneglyph. Knowing Kid I would not be surprised that he would attack a Yonko ship immediately after making it into the New World.

Roger got all poneglyhps from Big Mom, Fishman Island, Zou, and Wano Current know Road/Lode Poneglyphs locations are Whole Cake Island, Zou, and Wano. We are missing the one from Fishman Island originally, which might be under BB, because Fishman was once WB territory before Big Mom. WB might relocate the the poneglyph to New World, which then taken by BB after his death.

I doubt Crocodile came up with the Cross Guild idea by setting the deal to Buggy as you played it out, i can not see Crocodile getting close to Buggy and force him into it. I can not see Crocodile blackmailing or forcing Buggy into it. They probably came up with it together and actually work as a team but Crocodile despite his strength allows Buggy to be the head in order to have his head safer and get scoff free easier in worst case scenario just like you correctly said. The only difference being that Crocodile is not like a master behind the curtain like you said but more like a scheming advisor to Buggy, influencing his decisions and rule from the shadows in a sense but not completely. The final decision is Buggy's, he has an army of the worst criminals of Impel Down from all of its levels. Even Whitebeard noticed this and mention how troublesome they could be. Its not like Buggy is just for shows, sure he is not strong but his charisma, luck and influence is identical to Luffy's.

I think the name “cross guild” could relate to the fact that Pirates often use a skull and “cross”bones as their symbol. So in a way, the name is a simple way of saying “hey, this is an organization for pirates that will let you hunt marines for rewards”. Actually, it’s like an adventure’s guild in an isekai, where you can accept quests for money.

Cross Guild makes so much sense after I've had time to think about it. Zoro Vs. Mihawk, Luffy vs Crocodile rematch, and Buggy runs away while maintaining his position as emperor because he "fought" the Strawhats and didn't even get a scratch. It's going to be epic. See I agree that buggy isn’t that strong and that mehawk and crocodile are the powerhouses but I think people are underestimating him he’s fought against the whitebeard pirates as a child and white beard remembers him very well meaning he put up a fight and he probably knows mehawk quite personally bc he was shanks rival so they’ve probably met at least once and I know this is out their but I think buggy has conquerors haki bc like luffy people just seem to follow him obviously not even close to some of the people we’ve seen but I believe it’s there and bc unlike shanks he never wanted to become powerful and look for the one pice it has stunted his haki which is why at the start of the story he doesn’t have any bc haki is liked to your will and he had no will to grow and now since he’s been growing I recon we’ll see it soon plus I think he specialises in observation haki bc he was able to react to mehawks swing in an instant

My personal theory is when the marines attacked mihawk he had to fight an admiral and during that fight perona was at the battlefield and got injured so mihawk joined buggy because he had a large army in order to keep perona safe as we know he cares for he like a daughter
