I'm a 60 year old guy. The term mental health didn't exist when I was a young man, and admitting that you were struggling was viewed as a sign of weakness. I've lived with depression for most of my life, and I found myself in a really dark, dangerous place earlier this year when my (ex) wife and I divorced. But I found Crossfit this summer, and my life has changed! I'm in the best shape I've ever been in, both physically and mentally. I'm part of a community that truly cares about each other, and I've come to realize that the limitations I used to place on myself were self-imposed. I know I'll always have to live with my depression but I also know that I'm not alone and that I matter. Crossfit for life! 💪

I know he would never take credit, but I am forever in debt to this man. He has no idea what he has done for me and how impactful he is on our community. Real in every sense of the word, thank you Alex 🙌🏼

I remember competing with Alex as part of Team Wales in the very first 4 Nations competition in the UK. Great to see what you’re doing to spread awareness and help men’s mental health bud ❤

Respect, Alex, and respect, CrossFit, for having the courage to address the mental health issue in such an explicit and impressive way. Yes, CrossFit can and does help. I can tell from my own experience.

Amazing honesty, there will be so many men you simply won’t know that you are helping. I’m so glad I know you x

I look at guys like Alex, who see themselves outsiders struggling to make sense of it all, and I can’t wonder why more of us aren’t like him. Look at where conformity has got us. His story reminds us that it’s not to late to regain our individual power and by doing so, collectively change the world for the better

🫶🏻 I don’t think Alex will ever accept how special or impactful he really is on people. He’s a great human. Shame there aren’t more like him.

I have followed your journey for many years after meeting and competing with your lovely mum @lusciouslindaevans . I thought this was a wonderfully brave film to make and you are both doing a brilliant job.
